My mom was in her wheelchair this trip, which meant we got to go through the exit for some of the rides. I was very disappointed how many people stared, judged, and made rude comments about it like, "Must be nice to cut in front of all the lines." definitely didn't let them ruin our trip, it was just shocking how rude some people can be, especially at the Happiest Plafe on Earth. There's always going to be people who don't understand and have difficulty placing themselves in others position. We just have to know it happens and the only thing to do, is hope they one day understand how it feels, so they Won't be judge mental about others. We can never take cruel words personally because negative behavior has nothing to do with us, but with the person saying them. I'm glad I took the time to read through this post and the replies. I will admit that I have looked at someone in a wheelchair who appeared to be able-bodied and wondered to myself if he/she was just taking advantage. So true. My mom has RA and she refused to get a pass the first 2 days of our trip because she didn't want to be judged. On our last day she had too. All the stress on her joints the 1st two days caused her joints flare up, her ankle to swell and it was uncomfortable for her. Next time she'll use one from day 1. - MariaR 170.1 #2003 9:40AM

People are rude and inconsiderate. Last Nov I injured my knee (which have already been badly damaged from years of basketball) so I wore a knee brace and asked for a GAC for stairs. I wore sweats one day and my brace was underneath I requested to use the elevator and group of girls behind me were calling me and my friend lazy and much harsher words. People are too quickly to judge when it comes to GAC holders. It didn't bother me and my friend but it did show me how nasty people can be over something so little. - CMallyg92 79.7 #3276 10:48AM
