Has anyone seen this weekender in the park or hotel shops recently? I finally decided to get it and now it's sold out. Hoping to pick one up this weekend if I can find one. Thanks!

There are some in the haunted mansion store. I saw them there. I think they are elsewhere though. On our last day, my dad picked up a bag for my mom - littledisneydragon  23.4 #7028 12:40PM
I don't recall seeing it but then again I wasn't looking for it. I actually didn't see many purses except some Star Wars bags and the Harvey's attraction poster line. - TheRealAlice  236.6 #1568 7:37AM

Annual pass renewal dilemma! Our passes are up in June and I just can't imagine not having them. We are going at the end of May, then probably wont go again until Sept. Should we renew to get the $40 discount or wait until we go in Sept? What do all if you do who live out of the area? Thanks!

Being from out of state we would always renew on our next trip. Even though you get a discount you would be paying for 3-4 months that you wouldn't use it so it equates to more than the $40 savings - UTDISNEYFAMILY  2016.6 #87 5:19PM
#solid 💪🏼 - misschurro  7472.7 #12 5:23PM
Thanks for the input. I think waiting to renew in sept makes the most sense because then we would get 2017 summer included. The deluxe pass works for use since We like to skip the busiest days and we get parking at a nearby hotel. My only concern is if there is a surprise price increase. 😬 - bayoucruisinprincess  120.8 #3282 8:59PM
We live out of state, and that's our plan.  - disneyforme  496.1 #456 9:20PM
I divided the pass into 12 months. So if the AP you are buying is $1200 (probably be that by then for Sig), then every month you don't have your pass, you will save $100. That's a better deal than the $40 savings. I also know in WDW if you buy the pass AFTER you get there, they will give you the room rate discounts. Or you might need to buy the AP before you check in. So you can get discounts on rooms still. Personally I would wait. Why pay for summer if you aren't going to be there. With Deluxe you are probably saving $150 each person. - DLKenCA  2862.6 #50 10:05PM
it is a gamble that they might change or eliminate your type of pass if you do not renew on time.   - MsTikiMermadam  1332.9 #139 3:22AM

Question for the day... Have you ever had a big trip to Disney planned and had to cancel last minute because of kids' illness? How did the hotel handle it? How about the kids? We were supposed to leave for 3 days at the Grand today, but the kids started puking all night :-( I was so relieved that Disney let us postpone without any penalty! It was just a room change so they said it was easy to do!   More...

- UTDISNEYFAMILY  2016.6 #87 10:02AM
Looks like Harold isn't feeling so great either. Hopefully no bobsleds were passing by when he got sick.  - phillip...  1369.0 #137 12:32PM
.phillip. Must have been that leftover cheeseburger of yours. #notshelfstable 😂 - WonkyPilgrim  581.2 #369 7:59PM
An old hotel trick. If you have to cancel and it's technically too late, just call to reschedule (for long enough in the future to put you back in the good zone - i.e. If the hotel has a 72 hr cancellation policy, make sure you reschedule for at least 5 or so days out - then cal back and cancel. You'd hope that hotels would work with you , especially with illness, but many don't (and in the case of the Grand you could be forfeiting $500 for 1 night!).  - msdizmaui  759.8 #264 3:35PM
Thanks. Good to know.  - disneyforme  496.1 #456 10:46AM
I called that morning thinking I'd be out that much $$$ or best case maybe a fee for transfering the dates. My rate only went up $30 because AP rate was a little higher on one night.  Your tip is very helpful. We're all just counting down until May now! - bayoucruisinprincess  120.8 #3282 10:49PM

Jedi Training Academy question.... How quickly do the fast passes get taken up? Is there an immediate rush in the morning or do my kids have a chance if we show up an hour or two after opening? Any showtime is fine. Thanks!

I have still seen sign ups available as late as 1 to 2 pm  - pikarich  6143.9 #22 10:18AM
It depends on how busy the parks are. We showed up two hrs after the park a Sat and everything was gone.  We had to get on the waiting list to see if someone did show for their assigned time.  - PrincessAuroraMomma  600.6 #357 10:33AM

Hi! I have a question that I know MW would have the best advice. I'm going with a group of 10 in June and we want to do a character meal. The girls want to do Ariel's grotto but not sure if the 2 boys will like it. Anyone with experience taking boys there? Or should we do Goofy's instead? Thanks!

In my experience girls more easily handle gender neutral characters than boys handling the princess characters.  I'd go with Goody's Kitchen. - potatohead25  801.2 #242 7:12AM
Totally agree. Both will have fun at Goofy's. Plus you can have peanut butter/jelly pizza.  - sewedna  579.0 #372 12:18PM
goofys kitchen has a variety  of characters including a few princess, you can usually find goofy, pluto, alice, mad hatter, baloo, cinderella, aladdin, jasmin and a few others but are rotated daily . if they need more princess theres always the princess faire at dl to see them plus goofys kitchen has a great variety of breakfast, salads and fruits - pikarich  6143.9 #22 7:42AM
This is the correct answer^^^^^  - Cinderella_Schnooks  3403.5 #45 9:27AM

Thanks for all your advice. I think we'll do Goofy's kitchen! Everone will be happy! - bayoucruisinprincess  120.8 #3282 12:49PM
I would do Goofys or Minnie's. There aren't any princesses at Minnie's usually though. So Goofys might be a better choice to get a good mix.  - warchanted  174.9 #2380 6:00PM
