Hi, I'm Emily and I'm planning my first disneyland trip this summer! Driving there takes some time since its a 15 hour drive (which will probably be 18, because of traffic).

Hey MWrs! My first time in disneyland was last year with my boyfriend and now I'm planning for a second time with my parents, sister and nephew. My nephew will be almost 5 at that time and it will be his first time going, as well as my fathers first time going. My mom has a minor case of cerebral palsy and it takes her longer to walk or take large steps. She has been to disneyland I the 60s, so it  More...

There is a way to load almost everyone in a wheelchair without stairs. Stop by City Hall or Chamber of Commerce (DCA). They have a brochure. Ask them about a card that will give you access so they don't have to push the wheelchair through the lines. Explain the situation and they will be very accommodating. Disney is definitely one of the best parks to help people in wheelchairs. - DLKenCA  2492.9 #51 9:34AM
I am pretty sure that on GRR the wheel can slow down to assist people who have mobility challenges.   - TiggersAndTinks  163.6 #2463 1:45PM

today is my first day in the parks! super excited! :) I got my first day button yesterday in down town Disney already by mentioning that it was my first day and the also gave me an un-birthday button, a celebration button and a honorable button. it's already a great trip and I haven't even stepped into Disneyland itself. I'm excited :)

Have great fun.  - Midasgold  629.0 #303 7:13AM

YAY in 1 week exactly I'll be walking into Disneyland for my very first time! I've been waiting for this day for years and it's just one week away! I am very excited for this new adventure! If anyone is going to be in Disneyland between 4-6th let me know. I know that the 6th is Dapper Day. After 22 years I finally get to go to DISNEYLAND :)

That is very exciting I can guarantee you will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy your visit😎 - Missymoo  708.9 #257 8:44AM

I am trying to plan my disneyland trip and I am keep on checking the disneyland website for the entertainment schedule and they haven't updated since July 20th (of my knowledge). I am waiting for them to put up the week that i'll be there which is Sept. 3-6th. How often do they put up the schedule, because the last scheduled date they have is August 27th and that's only 23 days from now. I thought  More...

I'm lucky if they post the schedule 3 weeks early. - GoofyMom77  728.9 #253 9:17PM

I am going to my first trip to Disneyland in September and I noticed that I'll be there on the day that will have Dapper Day in the evening (september 6th after 4pm). Since it's my first trip there what should i expect while this event is going on? I will be there 2 days before Dapper Day, will those days also be very busy? If anyone has any tips and tricks for me, I'll greatly appreciate them! Th  More...

I don't know about it first hand but in the pics it looks like a lot of fun. People all dressed up! Try using search with dapper in the field! Have fun! - PrincessDaisy  323.9 #738 1:38AM

Thank you apples2 and sewdna for awesome rak. I received cruella today and the flower clip+extras earlier this week. I didn't have time to take the pictures of the flower clip+extras before my niece took them, she loved them btw. Thank you both!

So glad she made it to her new home. :) enjoy! - sewedna  550.7 #352 11:52PM

I want to create a homemade rak but not sure what to create. I am very crafty from drawing, painting, sewing, knitting, making random things. I just want to see what some people would like to see as a rak. I'm willing to try to make anything, I just want to see what you guys would like and so I can show my artsy/crafty skills :) I'm ready to create something Disney :)

Hey everyone, I've been looking at what hotels to go to when I arrive in disneyland this summer. Since its my first time in disneyland I don't know how the hotels are. The disneyland hotels are too expensive for my budget but I do want one that is easy to walk to disneyland. I'll like to know what your guys favorite hotel is that is close to the resort and at a reasonable price. I don't care if it  More...

Candy Cane Inn has free parking, free continental breakfast, and a free shuttle to and from the parks running throughout the day. - ima-pirateswife  744.9 #246 4:13PM
Agree !! We stayed there in Oct and was pretty good !! First time staying we are returing for Easter ! The shuttle is great too ! - jmza4  287.7 #31532 4:22PM
I agree also. Have stayed there 3 times and the best shuttle ever! Love staying at Doubletree for the suites but the ART was not as reliable. - sstarlight  324.7 #733 7:12PM
HOJO is great. Only a 10 minute walk. If you call there in house reservation line you also get a great discount. - CallMeFlower  423.8 #486 3:42PM
Thanks everyone! You guys are awesome! I'll do more research so I can get the best one for me. Thinking about candy cane inn. - emoji3  185.4 #2132 10:47PM
We really like the Ramada Main Gate, it's clean offers free parking and is a stones throw from the park. After a long day of walking its nice to take a 5 minute walk to your room! - APirateslifeforme31  170.1 #2354 11:22PM
Stovalls Inn is great. Also, Doubletree for a big family like ours. This time we're trying out the Anaheim Islander Inn, has solid reviews, full size fridge, and double sized room w/4 queen beds for a great price! - DisneyLuva4Life  28.0 #5880 11:29PM

Welcome! I agree with HMF re: details. today i mostly posted things I had not noticed before. (My brain is jumbling your cute name into 'emoji3' 😜😊) - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  5722.3 #18 9:46PM
Change it! Change it! Change it! πŸ˜€ You should listen to her. ☝ She is the queen of bestowing names on MW. That would be a cute name for Emily! - MeridaFan  3625.6 #37 9:57PM
Lol the reason I have emijo is cuz that has been my nickname since I was little. My middle name is Jo. But hey why not change it! :) - emoji3  185.4 #2132 10:02PM
Yay! I like you, Emily. - MeridaFan  3625.6 #37 10:08PM
Ahaha! So cute. Now I shall always read it 'emoji3' 😊😊 - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  5722.3 #18 10:09PM

I only get a chance to go every few years. Figure out what you want to do first ride or wander (with a few rides here and there. This app has a todo list that's helpful. I usually grab an extra map and at the end of the night while at the hotel I check off everything I had done that day and by the end of the week I get most everything checked of the map/schedule. On our last trip we bought the hidden Mickey book and it really helps you the check everything you may of not noticed before! Have fun and enjoy everything! - julietyler76  8.4 #11628 10:21PM
Welcome. - aidensmama  340.3 #669 11:11AM
If you have 5 days in the parks you will have time to see and do everything. Just relax and enjoy being there. The only thing I would recommend is if there is a particular restaurant that you wish to dine at or a tour you want to take make the reservation early. Otherwise have a wonderful time. - Bibba  430.1 #474 1:32PM
