Pixar facts: The lamp that appears in Pixar’s corporate logo is a character from the first Pixar short film. The lamp is from “Luxo Jr.” Pixar’s first-ever short film from way back in 1986! The 2 minute film features 2 Luxo brand lamps (hence the name). The smaller lamp, Luxo Jr., is playing with a ball. Director John Lasseter was inspired to make the film by the desk lamp on his desk.

Fun Fact#3..Princess Jasmine was originally named Princess Badroulbadour. The original Aladdin story can be found in the Arabian Nights, a collection of Middle Eastern and South Asian stories compiled during the Islamic Golden Age. The princess in that story was named Badroulbadour – you can see why Disney chose to change her name!
