Story time: my daughter was heavily into this movie when she was 3. We decided to go to Muir Beach (San Francisco) one day, it was about 50 degrees and super windy. She sets foot on the sand, sees the ocean and says 'hey guys, wanna watch me surf?'. We had to explain to her there is no surfing at that beach and it was freezing. She was not pleased. We were in a line of rafts that made it to the end but were still a bit away from the loading deck. They roped the raft and we had to climb out via that narrow place where you can see employees. I have slippery water shoes but was able to get out. We next walked on the walkway on that is on the far side of the revolving deck and were walked out to a back gate that let us out on the scenic road back where the jeep used to be. In Town Square, next to the Mad Hatter, is where they come through the gates from backstage. Across from Mad Hatter is a little courtyard with lattice planters. You get a great view of the 10 second cavalcade plus there's some overhang above you to block some of the rain. :) - susieQzee 480.7 #247 12:49PM
