Hello all! Still needing opinions on our trip. Pros of Dec. 19-21: on hubby and daughter's birthdays, before the holiday. Pros of Jan. 2-4: less crowds (I think?), hotel slightly less money. These things considered, will the crowds be significantly smaller, enough to make it worth the wait? Thanks for chiming in! :D
Busier before Christmas but still busy Jan 2-4. Especially since new DCA it has been really busy even when not expected. If staying come early and ride rides & enjoy rest of day with fast passes/parades etc. Both great times to visit. - ShariRenee

My hubby's birthday is Dec. 19th, our only child's birthday is Dec. 21st. If we go on both of their birthdays, will the crowds be too much to enjoy? Is it better for us to go a week before (around Dec. 12) or after Jan. 2nd? Thanks in advance for the advice. We LOVE Disneyland but have never gone around Christmas.

No idea on the profile pic but I would recommend waiting until after the new year to go. Holiday decor and theme is still up the first week of January and the crowds die down considerably. I used to try and take my daughter the week or so before Christmas. Her birthday is January 11. Last year we arrived on New Years Day. RCMom, thnx for sharing your inspirational story! We also have major infertility and our only miracle daughter is celebrating her 7th birthday this December. My favorite Disneyland memory was taking her for the first time almost four years ago. It's so true PrincessDuckie! It took us sooo long with Rylee and then we were told by our fertility specialist that I would never be able to have another one. After four years of longing for another baby, I went back and begged for another round of fertility treatments. He told me there was nothing he could do for me....because I was already 7 weeks pregnant!! I don't know who was more shocked him or us! My brother & I would have contests to see who could yell "I love grandma!" louder while going down the drop.
