Just out of curiosity....does anyone know if any of the 3 resort hotels offer government rates? Also..does anyone know what kind of discount state employees get on Disneyland tickets? :-D thanks in advance!

The only hotel discount I've seen on the Disneyland.com site besides AP is a military discount. Your best bet is to call the Disney Hotel reservations number thats on the above website. Good luck! :) - DeadliestPassholder  525.8 #463 5:28AM
My mom is a state employee and gets discount tickets through her union book but I've never heard of hotels. Doesn't hurt to call and ask - FoolishMortal138  791.8 #286 6:29AM

Hi everyone! We are bringing our 2 month old with us to Disneyland this week and I was wondering if someone knew the requirements for bringing a baby on Haunted Mansion? Can I wear the baby in a sling during the ride or will I have to take him out and face him foward? Thank you in advice!

That's a good question, too bad I have no idea, but I'll go ahead and tag @CM_Shadowgamer. He probably knows - phillip.rocks  1662.7 #125 1:29PM
Well I don't think there is any restriction on age on that ride.. Baby can go but I doubt you could wear the baby... When my son has fallen asleep right before the ride the cms told us he still had to be held facing forward, not over the shoulder so I would guess for baby's safety they couldn't be worn during. Can't wait to see some pics of your guys trip & the little !   - therealJackandSally  360.5 #0 1:45PM

My 4 year old son fell asleep while we were in line just a few weeks ago. I just held him in my arms and had no problems so I am sure a sling or baby carrier would be fine.Β  - ChloeCoconut  0.5 #82387 10:05PM

Those of you in the parks today...how are the crowds?? The crowd index says mid 70s, which seems kinda high..but wait times don't seem bad at all. We'll be arriving to the DLR Thursday :-) I kinda want to get an idea of what to expect, crowd wise. Thanks!

So I haven't heard anything about the measles outbreak at Disneyland in a while...is this still an issue? We're planning on taking one last trip before our APs expire in November and our little one will be a month old by then. Have any of you MWers taken your little ones who weren't vaccinated yet to Disneyland even after the outbreak?

if you would like the measles you can still get it for the Diamond Celebration during Labor day weekend...They will be passing out wristbands at 4am for it and you can line up and then get into Tomorrowland and get your pic licking the germ ball and getting the measles ...... - Dave  13914.6 #9 10:28PM
You will be just fine, come and enjoy! Just a little on the measles thing Disneyland was never the cause of the outbreak. It was a parent that allowed their infected child come to Disneyland and THEY infected all of those that contracted the measles. Disneyland is far and away the cleanest and most hygienic theme park you can go to. - Donaldfan_532  249.6 #1495 8:14PM
Personally?  I would never take a one-month old to a crowded park, especially during flu season. Unvaccinated?  Never. Measles is not the only disease or illness out there. You will do what you want, but I'd rather lose the money spent on my AP than risk my newborn's health and potentially, life. My opinion.  - MacaronMerida  4739.9 #39 9:53PM
I wouldn't go during flu or winter time either. Too many rude people with uncovered coughs and sneezes.  - PrincessDuckie  960.1 #236 11:36PM
I have to agree with MeridaFan With California experiencing a huge spike  in whooping cough cases, this could be a potentially life threatening illness. Could you leave your baby with a trusted family member? - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3694.1 #49 11:51PM
And because there's a lot of unvaccinated kids around for now, I would not take an unvaccinated infant.  - secretagentangel  14015.0 #8 12:41AM
We took Lil One for the first time when she was 6-8 weeks old, in August. We were staying at GCH so I was prepared to hang out there the whole visit. But we decided to take a walk in the parks and we ended up staying there when hubby and the oldest were in the parks too. I sat out on all rides and found shady benches to relax and people watch. It worked out well, it wasn't crowded that weekend (weekend before Labor Day, our traditional back to school visit) so there really wasn't anyone close enough to sneeze on her. (I did have a blanket over the stroller when we were actually walking). I swear Lil One loved the people watching too! I narrated to her what was going on around her and described the rides we were sitting by. She smiled and kicked most of the visit. The Baby Centers were very helpful. It was a lovely visit!  - PrincessDuckie  960.1 #236 11:35PM

Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if you're allowed to wear your baby on the rides? (not the fast rides of course), but for the dark rides and pirates, HM, etc.? we'll have our little one with us next time we go and I plan on wearing him a lot throughout the park. just wanted to know if I can wear him on the rides too. thank you!

Do you mean like a baby sling, we have babies and are allowed on any ride without a height restriction, they will left you have the baby in a front body baby sling as long as it's not causing a safety concern or is not causing an issue with a ride, an example is haunted mansion you cannot due to it having a safety bar.same with pooh bear, toad, and Alice in Wonderland,  other rides like pirates, small world,  and jungle cruise have not been an issue for us - pikaplaid  8129.6 #16 9:40PM
Yes I meant a baby carrier or sling :-) so if there's a lap bar you cannot use the sling? Do you just carry them during the ride?  - LennaH  160.8 #2720 8:23AM
Where you cannot wear him you do have to carry him although they will allow you to lap sit the child, if he's small although this is preferred by the cms  - pikaplaid  8129.6 #16 8:29AM
I carry my son (8 months) old on all rides that don't have a height limit. I don't use the sling simply because you have have to unsling them once you are on the ride and trade them foward underneath the lap bar - tmaikeo  19.5 #8235 8:34AM
Thanks everyone! That helps ☺ - LennaH  160.8 #2720 10:44AM

Hello everyone! So I've tried to do some research but haven't had much luck and was wondering if any of you can help me out. We are planning a big family trip to Disneyland November 5-10 this year and was just wondering if anyone knew kind of what we can expect? By that I mean are there any marathons or special events planned during that time, will there be any closures, what do crowds look like a  More...

It the beginning of the holiday season, but with the 60th this year it could be harder to predict the crowds. Usually it slow until the week before thanksgiving after Halloween  - pikaplaid  8129.6 #16 1:22PM
The Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon weekend is Nov. 12th-15th. So you are good there with this event. - CoachDisney  561.4 #422 1:36PM
I think it should be a pretty good time to go.  You'll see some Christmas decor, but it won't be in full swing yet.  They might be filming for the Christmas parade at some point in that time frame, but I'm not sure--someone else might know an exact date.  There is the Avengers half marathon, but I think you will leave before it starts--I want to say that happens on 11/15.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  713.8 #334 1:44PM
IASW will probably be closed around that time for the holiday overlay, but beyond that, I don't know about refurbs--they usually have a few things closed in between "seasons," but they've refurbed so much in prep for the 60th that they might not have much planned for next fall?   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  713.8 #334 1:58PM

Hi. Is there a list on the disneyland website that states what rides pregnant women can ride (or should avoid)? I can't seem to find it. Thanks!

Almost all rides with height restrictions  and if you go to the site  and click it will tell you which rides are recommend  to avoid just like the paper maps - pikaplaid  8129.6 #16 4:58PM
Tower of Terror and screaming are good ones to ride - Dave  13914.6 #9 5:13PM
that is to not ride,  right? - MsTikiMermadam  2300.3 #83 4:06AM
Height restrictions, and those with seatbelts. I was actually blocked from going on Autopia by a CM. Went to City Hall and found out she actually was not allowed to do that. City Hall people said anything that has a seat belt is not recommended. - EmperorsHandLelundrial  1098.5 #206 8:46AM

Hi everyone! So I recently found out I'm about 6 weeks pregnant, and before I found out this wonderful news my hubby and I were planning a trip to Disneyland for Valentine's day weekend. Both of us are vaccinated but I'm wondering if it's OK to visit the DLR with the whole measles thing going on. I haven't heard any recent news on the topic. Any suggestions?

If you have any concerns like this, I would contact your doctor. A quick phone call would solve your dilemma and put you at ease. Non of us can (or should) make this decision for you. Best of luck. And congratulations!! 😊❀️ - Sweet_Irish_Cream  4410.2 #43 4:18PM
Thanks! Of course I'll be contacting my dr., I was just wanted some outsider opinions of maybe some people in the same boat :-) - LennaH  160.8 #2720 4:57PM
We can all pontificate, Check with YOUR OB. Nobody loves going to DL more then I do😊😊 - susanray5  14.5 #0 8:02PM
Honestly, it doesn't matter where you are, if you are around anyone anywhere that isn't vaccinated there is a risk. There is the same amount of risk going to DLR as there is going to your local grocery store. The best thing for you to do is check with your doctor, sometimes the vaccines don't last and you need a booster so discuss with your doctor about a blood test. While I was pregnant we found out I was no longer  vaccinated against rubella so they had to give me a booster shot after I gave birth. People do not need to be worried about DLR and measles anymore, the outbreak occurred in December and is no longer relevant.  - 1HitchhikingGhost  309.5 #989 7:50PM
I have to agree with 1HithhikingGhost.  I just got back from a recent trip to DL, only to find out the 4 MMR vaccines I have had in my life still did not give me immunity.  So I had to get another one last week.  I hope you go though, and have fun for all of use that can only dream of being there. - PalousePrincess  27.8 #6802 10:18PM
I agree here. I live in San Diego and the list of "possible exposure" includes grocery stores, shopping malls and a few other regular places you go to every day. This is so far and widespread at this point. The guests that had the initial cases that went to Disneyland are long gone to their home. The CMs that were exposed are all past their incubation periods. I don't think Disneyland is any more dangerous then going to Target or the grocery store at this point. I actually think that at this point getting your groceries is more dangerous than going to Disneyland. Talk to your doctor. Use common sense. - Autoalice  161.4 #2706 10:30PM
Congrats  - E-Ticket  1785.2 #115 8:13PM
Congratulations and get tested to see if you are immune. If you are you're good to go. We got boosters about 10 days ago and are still at risk. about 2 more weeks until we are completely clear in case we had already been exposed. It can be anywhere though but I understand your concern.  - Cinderella_Schnooks  3490.8 #53 10:34PM

Question :-) I know the holiday season ends January 6 at Disneyland but is some of the Christmas decor still up that following weekend between the 9th-11th? hubby and I are hoping to make it to the parks again while the Christmas decor is still in tact. thanks!

I do believe that Haunted Mansion Holiday is still open until the 11th however, I do believe they take those decorations down nearly overnight. So while there may be christmas layover, I'm not so sure you'll see decorations. Maybe @BaseballMickey_CM @IDVandalSkipperCM or another CM might know - missmimi90  2081.7 #95 11:06AM
