We had an emotional and reflective Sunday. Took a little trip down memory lane. We visited Walt's Barn in Griffith Park, then Walt's burial site in Glendale, and finally a third site of historical significance (bottom photo). I bought a half lb of the Grand Marceline coffee beans from their #D23expo booth way in the back. I thought it's not going to be anything good but it was a thankfully smooth medium roast blend, not bitter nice cup of coffee. Their hot chocolate was also very good. They are a new business straight out of Marceline, Missouri. It was way better than convention food/drink fare. The folks were nice too More...
My son had been dying to try the churro ice cream sandwich and finally got his chance..he thoroughly enjoyed it. If you try this the churro and ice cream come separate and you make it yourself, I'd let the churro cool down for a minute or two because the churro started melting his ice cream right away and became very messy. He said he'd get it again for sure.

From yesterday---#hearthstonelounge this is the chocolate ganache bundt cake- normally comes with cream cheese ice cream. I asked the chef to modify it- vanilla bean ice cream and added the brown sugar chantilly cream from the apple gallette. It was heavenly! My changes made it perfect I think...it was about $11 before AP discount
#DisneyFoodHack: wish Pacific Wharf sold spinach dip bread bowls? Don't understand why the spinach/artichoke dip at Cove Bar comes with chips? Now you can get the best of both worlds! Before heading over to Cove, stop at Pacific Wharf and ask for a sliced baguette. ($5 before AP). Order the dip at Cove, and ask for a side of salsa to go with your chips. Now you have two snacks! Enjoy!
