CM Magic. I live in SD and was up in OC for work Friday, I of course planned on quitting early and heading to DL since I was one exit away. Of course as soon as I sat down to eat lunch I had an email that I must sign a doc & fax back for work. I started to panic that I would have to leave and go home to work then I remembered there's always Disney Magic! I walked to The Grand and asked lead front   More...

Both are wonderful. The Grand is more "adult". The woods/courtyard view is just okay but if you mention there is a celebration you may get an upgraded view. Love the location and feel of the Grand but DL Hotel is a fave because it really feels Disney and the pool view is fun. You can splurge on Napa Rose with the difference in the price.
I can only judge by the pictures I've seen on here but depending on where your able to get a room I'd say Grand Californian. There are rooms that over look Carsland, Mickey's fun wheel, and you get a view of WORLD OF COLOR depending on when you go back to your room. - Donaldfan_532  230.8 #1463 10:38AM
I agree!  If you could swing it financially, getting a theme park view at the Grand would be my vote.  I especially love the area overlooking GRR.  And they have balconies! - MrsFletch  92.8 #3468 8:42AM

Agree with ShariRenee. I have stayed at the Grand once, and it immediately felt more adult to me. It also just did not feel like a Disney hotel in the way the Pier and DL hotel feel. - Lelundrial  463.2 #396 11:44AM
Our Favorite of all the Disney Hotels is the Grand. The Theme Park Views are amazing.  On our last visit it was booked so we stayed at The Paradise Pier. It was for our 20th Anniversary and they upgraded us to a Theme Park View. It was great.  The hotel Staff even came in and decorated our Room.  I would recommend looking at the Pier too! - luvthemouse  148.9 #2570 9:27AM
The grand courtyard view hands down! Disneyland hotel is fun but the grand for me is unforgettable it may be because that is where I fell in love with my boyfriend but I  have stayed at both hotels and just love the courtyard at the grand  - excmdlgurl  268.1 #1051 10:26AM

99 center store has Disney tote bags. Sturdy and large. The bags grocery stores sell for about the same price are good too.
They provide each ticket holder with a treat bag. Grown ups get treats too. But it's a good idea to bring your own that would be bigger and sturdier. - Taunton  121.1 #3011 4:46PM

They provide a bag that you will fill within 10 minutes. I suggest bringing the biggest bag you can & I'm not exaggerating, last year we ended up with close to 40 pounds of candy - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1185.0 #113 6:45PM
This!  And make sure it's something that's easy to carry, like a backpack.  Currently locker rentals are outside of park gates, so that would be a pain to have to run back and forth to drop stuff off! - IDVandalSkipperCM  2078.2 #54 8:36PM
