I stay at Grand all the time. Book breakfast in morning at storytellers a great buffet less crowded than other character breakfasts. The spa is amazing and Napa Rose a must do get reservations for both in advance. Avoid using entrance to CA through hotel in morning takes too long only use in afternoon. Just use main entrance and exits to parks.
That's awesome. Congratulations on booking your trip. I am staying at the Disneyland Hotel for a couple night's in September. I am sure you will have a great time - suejacken  3.8 #21488 9:40PM
My kids like the rooms with bunk beds. Also we always get a room closer to the special entrance. At guest services you can get trivia challenges which you complete on attractions & return for a prize. - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1159.7 #113 9:42PM

If you don't get a chance to watch World of Color from the viewing area in the park, it can be viewed from an outside patio area in the hotel. Beautiful hotel.. the standard rooms aren't as big as Disneyland Hotel's but they're beautifup nonetheless. Enjoy! - Jacqueline  580.0 #291 10:06PM

Wish he would have ripped off his shirt and growled lol like on True Blood! Love him! :)
So I was walking by Storybook Land and spotted him. No plaid either BTW. I almost missed the pic because I had to get my phone out. He happened to look at me and then I think he realized that I was taking a pic of him because he looked back at me as he kept walking! Nice way to start my summer!! - LilSterner  4420.0 #19 5:17PM

“Eating gluten-free in Disneyland is very possible but always a chore. This time, we obtained the special gluten-free menu from City Hall on Main Street. It turns out that eating gluten-free in California Adventure really means manually eliminating the gluten yourself: that is, eating the hamburger without the bun, etc. We’d rather find a hamburger served on a gluten-free bun. To find that, you have to go into Disneyland park or to one of the outside restaurants. Here are the choices that particularly appealed to us inside the park: * Club Buzz will serve a hamburger on a gluten-free Kinnikinnick bun. We eat these every time now. * The Plaza Inn will serve gluten-free pancakes during breakfast hours. * Coke Corner will serve hot dogs on a gluten-free tapioca bun. * Pizza Port has two gluten-free selections: gluten-free pasta with your choice of sauces, and pizza served on a gluten-free crust (probably Kinnikinnick brand). Instead of waiting in the long lines, we decided to wait while sitting on our bums in our favorite resort restaurant: Storyteller Cafe in the Grand Californian hotel. We’ve always had wonderful luck here finding gluten-free alternatives, and this time was no exception. The chef actually came out to chat with us several times. One of the waiters later told us that this particular chef had been with the restaurant since the hotel had opened, and that he had been the one to push for gluten-free alternatives on the menu. Anyway, he helped us eliminate questionable items from the grilled salmon meal, and he also made us gluten-free macaroni and cheese , and two different pizzas made on gluten-free Kinnikinnick crust.” I found this on a Disney Food Blog online hope this helps - Redman  163.4 #2351 8:09PM

My boyfriend has celiac disease and he likes to eat at Rancho del Zocalo Mexican restaurant in frontierland. The chef actually comes out to talk to him and makes it himself to make sure it's prepped gluten free! Very good food as well! - DaisyDuke14  31.2 #5112 9:27PM

Considering the park opens at 6am that day I would say you would be arriving on time. I don't think it starts getting really crowded until mid to late afternoon. - KermitFan13  643.1 #254 10:25PM
At Leap Day Disneyland didn't actually hit capacity till about 9:00 pm. Keep in mind that this time around both parks will remain open, even with grad nite going on there is a chance that they may not hit capacity at that same time. Just one little point of reference, with all the hoopla surrounding the opening of Carsland and BVS, (which took place on a Friday during the summer season) neither park hit capacity on opening day, and it remained that way the entire summer. So with that being said, I think there is a definite possibility that both parks may hit capacity, but it may not happen til closer to midnight when a lot of people would like to go just because they want to be there for the night. Now if they were doing this on a night when there wasn't a grad nite, I would feel pretty confident in saying that the parks probably wouldn't hit capacity, but it's hard to tell how grad nite will affect this event. - NotNKansasAnymor  204.9 #1792 1:33AM

The biscuits are amazing! A few weeks ago, we were dining at Carthay, and the fire alarm went off. They evacuated the restaurant, so I took the biscuits with us. It wasn't until we were safely in the evacuation area that I realized that I had left my phone upstairs! Yup, those tasty little nuggets of fried gooey goodness are more important to me than my iPhone! - Atora  1962.8 #58 10:59AM
