My grandpa was head of the Music Dept of Disney Studios for over 30 years and my grandma was an animator. I grew up going to Disneyland and it's one of my favorite places in the world! My family and I (husband, two daughters) live in Northern California
I thought you guys might appreciate this. My uncle just found this in my grandpa's things. Signed by Walt himself!!! I'm officially adopting "in the pink" as my new phrase. 😊 so amazing to see Walt's actual signature on his letterhead. I'm in awe!
For @antetr95...the inaugural 10K medal! It's beautiful. A word of advice, however. Take it off your neck if you go on Screamin'. It flew right off on the first drop. Luckily, it got caught on my ponytail and I was able to grab it just in time 😁😂
#GlassSlipperChallenge! Hi everyone...unfortunately, I won't be able to participate in the WDW Glass Slipper Challenge (10K on Saturday, 1/2 marathon on Sunday) this year. The dates are Feb 22nd and Feb 23rd. If anyone is interested in purchasing my bib for these races, please DM me ASAP! Upon finishing, you will receive 3 medals: one from the 10K, one from the 1/2, and one for completing both.&nb More...
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
