My grandpa was head of the Music Dept of Disney Studios for over 30 years and my grandma was an animator. I grew up going to Disneyland and it's one of my favorite places in the world! My family and I (husband, two daughters) live in Northern California
So I got an update as to what happened to him and why he was in the hospital.....apparently he had a perforated ulcer. He passed out in the elevator at the studio. Just happened that the other passenger on the elevator was the studio nurse - and the studio is directly across the street from the hospital! What a crazy story...
You guys have serious spatial perception issues 😂😂😂 I love this pic...check out doombuggies.com, lots of cool HM stuff. The hallway that you walk down after the elevator is what gets you to the soundstage. You actually go under the train tracks
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
