Good Morning! This day in Disney history, April 23rd 1957. The Midget Autopia opens in Disneyland. It was the third & smallest Autopia track, following the Tomorrowland Autopia (1955) & the Junior Autopia in Fantasyland (1956).
The Midget Autopia, Was located right next to the Storybook Land Canal Boats, & was for very young guests who were too small to ride the other Autopia attractions. As me More...
I don't remember this at all.. This was before my time. But I can imagine how fun it would be as a kid to drive your own car! I remember being frustrated with Autopia as a kid because I was too small to push the gas pedal and see the road at the same time. My dad had to help me. I would loved to drive smaller cars. Thank you SMK!! This is a great part of Tomorrowland history! Great Disney history post as always!!! - MyPark
