First time trying out the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. I figured the weather was perfect today for it. :) If you haven't tried it, I would definitely recommend it. $23.99 per person before AP discount, but it is all-you-can-eat and it was VERY good! You also get to enjoy a cowboy music show. Worth the price in my opinion.

Finally got to try the Mickey-shaped beignets from Cafe Orleans. I love the ones from the Mint Julep Bar, but these were BOMB!! They came out nice and warm, and sprinkled with just the perfect amount of powdered sugar. They are also served with jam and a vanilla sauce. I had them with a cup of coffee. DELICIOUS!!

In case anyone is interested... I just went to my local Target and found all these awesome stickers, books, notepads, pens, pencils, etc. in the DOLLAR SECTION!! I work with kids so I stocked up! HURRY! Before they run out! =)

Today I got my first request to trade a pin from my lanyard. I'm not really a pin-trader...I love all my pins and usually keep them locked on my lanyard with the metal backs. I told them that I was sorry but I couldn't trade my pin. I felt (and still feel) HORRIBLE! Especially because it was a little boy! I feel like I ruined his pin-trading experience, especially because I know how hard it is to More...
Buy some traders and keep them in a zip lock. Most of the time the kids love rummaging through my zip lock to pick whatever they want that they don't mind that I don't want to trade off my lanyard. - tiggertwin

Try to keep a couple tradable pins with you. I did trade with a kid... and it was one of the pins I liked. I could not turn him away. I figured I would find the pin again. I know how you feel though. - MyPark

I had a young boy in line for food come up eyeing my Pluto construction pin. I had to sadly tell him I don't trade, I just collect. He still didn't want to take no for an answer, searching thru his pin book for another Pluto pin to trade. Luckily he had none, I still don't think I would have traded with him. That particular pin was a gift, but I did still feel really bad. I thought about buying extra trading pins, but some kids are very specific about the pins they want. - mini_MINNIE

I am glad that I'm not the only one who has had an experience like this and felt bad. But like you said, some pins have special meaning for whatever reason. Some were gifts, some represent a memorable visit, and some I just love and they might not be available anymore. But I still felt bad. I will definitely get more traders just to have handy. That way even if they refuse to trade for one of those, at least I gave them another option and won't feel so bad. - MariFICENT 144.6 #2374 10:55PM
Also, some guests may not be aware that if their kids want to trade, they can go to any CM with a pin lanyard and they will trade with them, they're required to (up to 2 trades per child). You may want to let parents know about this and it may help them. - MyPark

Finally! A Chocolate-Covered Pineapple Spear from Pooh's Corner!! Mmmmmm.... FYI $4.29 before AP discount. Pineapple spear was sweet and juicy. My only complaint is that the chocolate breaks off too easily. But I would definitely recommend it.
