This ride is nothing less than perfection! Although, I will admit I really miss Paul Frees' dialogue when you go through the cove that takes you from the past to the present. I miss it every time..."No fear have ye of evil curses says you, Ayyyyeee....   properly warned ye be says I...   who knows when that evil curse will strike the greedy beholders of this bewitched treasure!"(Old ghost's voice)   "Perhaps he knows too much...   he's seen the cur-sed treasure...   he knows where it be hiding? Now proceed at your own risk...  ye may not survive to pass this way again!"I swear, I hear it in my head every time we sail through that cove and I would love for it to return someday, even just temporarily!☺️ - Nala  383.0 #628 9:24AM
Oops, just realized I made a mistake while recalling it...  It's "he knows where it be hidden" :) - Nala  383.0 #628 11:02AM

Perhaps we need to have a mommy lunch meet up next trip! It's fun! Thank YOU so much for all you do! Can't wait to see you in April! ((Hugs))  - Duchess_SMK  6587.9 #19 12:11PM

This ride with s my favorite too. As a young kid I only got to go to DL once. My parents bought me one of those 3D viewers with the POTC pictures. I used to look at those pics a lot wishing I could go back and experience it again. As an adult I'm making up for lost time 😜 - Tom  13209.4 #5 10:39AM

Anyone have a AP that is from NorCal? How many times a year do you really end up going? Worth it? Thanks for your feedback!

We are in sacramento, just bought APs in december. We figure we will be down 3 to 4 trip, averaging 3 or more days each time. The drive is killer but IMO worth it. We bought 3 deluxe and 1 signature so we could get the free parking, larger discounts, and photo pass. Also, if you are not to sure you can buy regular tickets at first and apply the ticket price towards your AP. Just be sure to buy the AP before you use you use your last day of the regular park passes. The nice thing also about being a pass holder is that when you are in the parks you don't feel rushed to cram everything into the few days you have. You don't feel bad about taking breaks or coming at 11am instead of rope drop.  Totally worth it!!! - dsnylvr1975  551.7 #400 5:20PM
Good point! I hate having to cram everything into 1 trip. We are Foothills area 😊 - lcruz6  13.9 #9465 7:29PM
We go twice a year 5days each time. Yes its worth it. We save about $50.00each plus AP discount on food and merchandise. - toarrispirate  489.0 #469 4:39PM
We live in Napa and go about 3-4 times a year for 2 days each trip. It was totally worth it!  - citainwonderland  75.6 #0 9:35AM
I live in the Bay Area and get a lot of use of our APs. I'm usually down there at least every 6 weeks (sometimes a little longer, sometimes less).  I take my family, I go with my husband, and I go with friends that I've met here on MW.  The options are endless.  Enjoy!  - LaPearleNoir  2566.5 #61 9:51AM

Nice do you have many compete pin sets? Which is your favorites? - E-Ticket  1477.9 #124 10:32PM
I really don't like to start sets because of the anxiety that comes with completing them. My favorite is my 60th diamond pin set for sure...I went through a lot to complete that set!Β I think my 2nd favorite is this one. I also love my wonderfully wicked villain set. Now I'm waiting to complete the decades set and the diamond "d" character set! - luxkitty  4387.7 #36 10:40PM
luxkitty I lwas shocked to see so many decades and Star Wars pins at Julius Katz on Wednesday!! - secretagentangel  7930.3 #12 11:26PM
secretagentangel yeah those decades pins were not as popular as everyone thought they would be. I think they should have made less of them. They should have been LE 1000. I only bought the ones that I really liked...didn't collect that entire set. I am collecting the entire set of the decades pins that are released every couple months though. I can't wait for the 1985-1994 decades pin that's releasing on 1/14. I've been waiting for that design.Β  - luxkitty  4387.7 #36 2:43AM

Ok... I have seen many different lets call them rumors maybe someone can clear up for me...Is Toontown going to be gone to make way for StarWars land? Ive seen yes and no....

from disneys blog and  announcements at d23. at one point toontown was going to be scapped. however the plans for star wars land grew to be even bigger.space then announced before. because of fireworks closing certain areas early like toontown , it will be keeped becuase you really dont want to close part of star wars land. disney bought property offiste to move all there backstage offices to accross the street to manchester ave and also home to new parking structures in the near future and moved the animals and horses offsite. the decision also took the btrr area , back offices and now 25% off the rivers of america to have the space needed for star wars land. the train in part is closed because the route will be rerouted . current plans call for it to make a sharp turn after hungry bear accross to the fantasy theather back area to realign with toontown station. what is not knownn is if the fantasy theather currently showing mickey and the magical map will be gone, relocated or interuptted. the train itslfe has been realigned at least 3 times in the parks history so it wouldnt be the first time or the lasy. the original track had it go tight behind casey jr then moved back to the small world area. most of this info is subject to change but this is the most accurate from the d23 and disney blogs post. - pikarich  6322.5 #22 10:27AM
Thank you sir - evilemohand  1299.1 #144 3:44PM
I have not seen any of those rumors. Thing is, Toon Town closes for fireworks, and that works out because that town is pretty much for the little kids. DLR closing down part of Star Wars land for fireworks might be a bit tricky. So let's wait till the official word from Disney. πŸ˜‰ - misschurro  7731.8 #13 7:19AM

The official announcement said they're not removing toon town. No one has an answer on Indian  village (a fave of mine) or the theatre. The RUMOR from CMs  is  Star Wars land will be completely enclosed with a glass roof to help with the whole "immersion " experience and fireworks too.  - secretagentangel  7930.3 #12 1:07PM

Can anyone give me advise in the best most economical way to plan a Disney World Vacation? Any websites or vacation planner you know of is appreciated. Thank you..

We got a package through AAA.  It was fabulous and there were different price levels, depending on hotel class and time of year/season. - MabelMouse  397.4 #602 10:52AM
i usually do everything through Disney travelCompany. One nice thing about booking through Disney is that if they run a special after you have booked they will honor the discount and you call to request the special. If you are flexible with dates, off season are the best prices. If you are annual pass holders you can book a room only price with it during most times of the year but they also run special through out the year discounts on rooms or packages ( you also can but the dinning at a slight discount price sometimes) . You may have to do some homework and crunch numbers. Sometime the packages are better and sometimes separate is better. If you are a person that enjoys to sit and eat at nice places and or character dinning then the dinning plan is worth the cost. If you just do quick service then pay out of pocket. Download the my Disney experience if you haven't already, there is a lot of great information on parks, dinning and menus on there. Once you have your dates think of where you would like to eat YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS! You can book 180 days in advance. Any questions? Ask away😘 - mmddgp  1257.9 #6 12:48PM
Save 50 %or more by buying diamonds directs from the diamond... of wait wrong commercial  - pikarich  6322.5 #22 9:11AM
We went last January. The prices and deals didn't come out until July. That's when we booked. We just kept checking online for flights  we paid about $400 I think round trip each from sac. We fly southwest since we have so many bags with the kids, it's not worth to pay for each bag with other airlines. We did the dining plan but it wasn't worth it. We aren't 'big' eaters and can sometimes split meals so we ended up with too many at the end. And that's with 2 adults and 3 kids but only 1 kid meal. So you can save $ that way. You can also have water and snacks delivered to you so you can save on that, if you want. The wdw side of mw can give you lots of info too :) - brodysmommy  453.8 #515 9:12AM
