I love it! I think it's so fun! And I totally disagree with the people who say it feels slower, I actually thought it felt faster

You are "chased" by ghosts on Space Mountain...Personally...I don't care for it. It adds too much light to the ride and makes it feel slower. - KissDclown  1089.3 #142 12:55PM

When you go through one of the doors on the pooh ride, if you look up you can see 3 moose heads from the old country bear jamboree

I have a feeling the balloon in the huffalump room use to be part of her swing - KissDclown  1089.3 #142 11:05PM
From what I've been told (it could be misinformation but it isn't likely) the mechanism that raises and lowers pooh and the basket on the hot air balloon is the same mechanism that raised and lowered her swing. - SnowBrown  179.3 #2153 11:10PM

Wow! My mind is blown! - thelittlestmouse  92.2 #68 11:17PM
There were two theaters with two trixes coming down from above, the height of the bear was very high up in the ceiling and still dangled about 12 feet below you in the was my understanding the entire show room was demolished for both theaters and done from the ground up - Dave   12163.3 #2 11:19PM
yea probably because no other two bears have flown in the attraction except those two and like the cartoons, Pooh fly's around a lot on his balloon...I love it and think its great, however I think we read way more into things than even the imagineers do.. - Dave   12163.3 #2 11:42PM

Where is this?

This ride is terrible...they should have left it as Alien Encounter - Dave  12163.3 #2 11:30AM
yea it was pretty terrifying for kids and adults. same basic premiss but it the affects were enhanced and it was a scary looking Alien running around the room - Dave   12163.3 #2 11:36AM
Ya, nothing says therapy bill like having your young children live the aliens movie! - madsdad  1846.6 #74 11:38AM
Every time he burps Cheetos I think of the A.E. drool and I get scared. - snowwhitelike  20.3 #6514 12:05PM
I remember when we first went on it all the kids screaming and crying bloody murder, pretty sure that's whey they changed it - Dave   12163.3 #2 12:20PM
We took our kids to Alien Encounter, ages 7, 8, 11. I had to have the 2 younger ones put their heads between their knees, close their eyes, and humm. The oldest loved it, and he and dad went to it again while I sat outside with the other 2. Total immersion into the encounter. Scary, but none of us have forgotten it to this day - Sugarbuzz  174.6 #2214 12:38PM
We went on alien encounter when it first opened it was so scary my older sister had to carry my younger sister ( who was 11) out of the ride because she freaked out! - Littlecuppycake  185.3 #2070 12:50PM
Oh my gosh, alien encounter sounds like so much fun! Disneyland should do at least 1 ride that scary during Halloween. I'm sure Disneyland could knock the socks off any Knotts haunt maze and Disneyland could do it without all the gore. - kss4tink  218.0 #1662 1:45PM
Nah, ghost galaxy is not me it isn't lol. I'm talkin, "can't sleep, clowns will eat me." type of scared. - kss4tink  218.0 #1662 2:23PM
Kiss4tink- alien encounter totally sucked you into the encounter. Instead of transporting the guests to the planet, the alien was transported to earth in the center of the room. It was a glass tube that fogged up, turned colors. The alien had wings. The lights went out (power outage). Then there was an employee walking on the scaffolding above you shining a flashlight. The glass shattered, alien got out. Wings flapped. You feel the breeze on you. Guy gets munched above you, warm "water" drips on you. Alien is behind you, warm breath on your neck, tongue wraps around your head, and screams are non-stop. Beyond the 4D that muppets offer. It had warnings about being clostrophobic, dark places, heart issues. The most intense show. Ever! - Sugarbuzz  174.6 #2214 2:31PM
Tongue wrap, that was me sorry everyone to my right and left - Villescas8  601.0 #298 3:01PM
@Sugarbuzz: wow, thank you for the description, it really does sound intense! I got a little freaked out just reading about it lol. Although, I don't know about the whole tongue thing, eeek! - kss4tink  218.0 #1662 3:38PM
Sounds like my date last week. - madsdad  1846.6 #74 3:55PM
Suzarbuzz, thanks for that description! Holy (bleep)!! I honestly think I would have had a heart attack, that would have beyond freaked me out!! I was scared of the Yeti on Everest so this would have done me in for sure, lol! 😱😱 - MinnieMousewife  807.4 #199 4:08PM
After hearing the description of Alien Encounter, why would anyone take their young child on it??? 😳 - DisneyFanZoe  1118.2 #135 4:28PM
Not sure how the tonge thing worked. Kind of like the alien was taste testing his dinner. It was probably warm air that just went from behind your head to the front then back. The chair that you sat in had arms and a head rest but with sides, so I'm sure everything was programmed into it.@madsdad-I wouldn't go back for a second date.@disneyfanzoe-the warnings weren't descriptive enough.. Heart problems? Every ride has that. Dark? POTC. Clostrophobic? Nope, not our fam. Internet wasn't around then to ask about it. Who would think Disney would be so scary? Anyway, kids survived it. The little ones didn't have to do it again. The oldest is fearless, and wanted to go again. it was the ultimate experience. I have to say it has not been replicated. (personally, I was glad to sit outside with the kids). - Sugarbuzz  174.6 #2214 4:56PM
My kid cried bloody murder on Alien Encounter, first time we'd been to WDW so I had no clue what it was all about. Lesson learned! - donnievegas  1132.4 #133 5:51PM
Alien encounter to this day is the scariest ride ever! Went on it about 12 years ago and I was freaked out. Awesome. I am a grown adult and it was fun but I can't see small kids getting on it. Fun to take someone for the first time. - verofern  137.5 #2811 6:39PM
Oooo...Alien Encounter was so awesome!!! The "water" splats freaked me out LOL :o) but yeah it was totally scary for young kids ~ lots of screaming as soon as the alien got loose - HadMatter  400.2 #505 6:44PM

ZOO! So much prettier than safari park. Many many more animals, and better shows for young ones. Enjoy!

If I were you, I would get a family membership for the year. It gets you into the Zoo AND the Safari Park and if you go like three times, it's more than paid off. Much cheaper than a Disney AP, that's for sure. If that's not possible, I'd go with the zoo. There's more animals, less walking, and the Safari park is inland so it's way hot right now. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #188 3:59PM
At this time of year I'd say the zoo. The safari park is way too hot. However when my kids were that age they loved the safari park. - PrincessDuckie  788.2 #205 3:32PM

i think Aladdin. it taught me that stealin is ok so long as its just an apple or bread and that i give half to starving kids. jk. its been really influential with my flying carpet research... breakthrough soon. i liked aladding because i think it was the first Disney Movie that a guy could sing to. i dont remember the classics or little mermaid having too many aongs that a young hero could sing (lil mermaid had sebastian's songs, but i didnt like pretending to be a crab) - Radius  502.7 #375 1:38PM

Space mountain for me! Careful running through those lines though! One time the ground was a little damper than I expected and fell right on my booty!

Yes everyone's first ride should be Space Mt. (as I turn left off main street and hit Indy, BTRR, Splash, POTC, HM, then lunch). - Disneymba  39.3 #4842 10:49AM
