*I'm from Northern California and love Disneyland! I love bringing my grandchildren here. It's s different experience with each child/age group. I love coming alone and I especially like it when I get to meet other MWers.

My patience paid off. Four hours ago they were not accepting anymore reservations or walk ups. I'm still in the best seat ever and waited less than 5 minutes.

Hello my fellow MouseWaiters. I'm at DL today. I don't have sticker fur tonight's party so I'll head to DCA along with a few thousand of my closest strangers aim a while. I love to meet up with fellow mw'ers. It's been a long time since I've been at a MW event. Anyone up for a drink or some other adventure? Please say hello if you see me.

Is there any place in either park accepting reservations for dinner? I dont care what time. Thank you

It looks like the reservations are for hotel restaurants. I am sure with the Halloween party tonight, Disneyland was booked and everyone was moving to dca  - emnldsmom  370.2 #716 1:11PM

Got a late start today. Cannot get reservations for Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou. No stand by either. I wanted to indicate this in 'wait times' but there isn't an option for this.

Yes! On the wait times page check the box at the top that says include food in wait times and it will show it. - sawman911  5218.4 #31 1:25PM

I have food wait times in my feed. I wanted a away to let others know that you can't get in so they don't waste time walking from another place only to find out they can't in. The options are 'closed' or the number of minutes. Neither applies in this instance. Thank you though.  - FairyGrandmother  349.3 #779 4:07PM

My mini's pass is going to expire on July. The reason her mom is going to let it expire is because my granddaughter will only do a few rides. She used to love to ride pirates but now she won't. She's ridden Soaring and loved it but now won't get on it. She also rode Star Tours and loved it. But, she only rode it because an older child, that she looks up to, went on it with us. That was months ago  More...

Buy her a pass to Knott's....she'll be begging to come back to Disneyland!  πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - DisneyDavidEMT  2835.9 #61 9:20AM
Maybe she'd enjoy DL more if she were allowed to pick the attractions? Sounds like she's being coerced into riding what the adults want to go on. You mentioned several attractions that she does like, why not make those the focus?  - Atora  2702.2 #65 7:38AM
Honestly, I feel like these trips should be about her. If you want to go on specific attractions, perhaps solo trips, or trips with friends, sans kids, may be more appropriate. I feel like you are setting yourself up for disappointment when you are trying to weight the trip in your favor, rather than in your granddaughter's. I know this sounds harsh...but you might find more pleasure in these trips if you focus on creating magic for her. - Atora  2702.2 #65 9:28AM
I agree with this. She's still a young child. Not every young kid wants to ride Star Tours and Soarin all the time. Heck I know adults that won't go near either. Maybe she has a fear of darkness? Heights? Loud sounds? If you bring young ones the focus will and should be on what they want to do. You can come without the kid, the kid can't experience any of it without the adult, if that makes any sense. - missmimi90  2081.7 #95 9:42AM
missmimi90 Brings up a good point--she might have a bit of a fear or even be getting a touch of motion sickness, but not know how to communicate it.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  713.8 #333 9:46AM
Great points missmimi90 and Spoonful_O_Sugar! I'm an adult who loves thrill rides, but can not handle Star Tours. 😷 - Atora  2702.2 #65 10:23AM
She does pick. She's never been coerced into anything.  - FairyGrandmother  349.3 #779 5:09PM
I think there are some people who don't like a lot of rides. A friend of mine took her daughter when she was around age 3 and she wanted to meet all the characters, so that is mostly what they did. My kids have been a few times and we try to introduce them to a new thing or two each time. They still have never been on Alice or the dark rides in fantasyland. Haunted Mansion is one of my favs but they won't do it yet. They have been on jungle cruise but can't appreciate the awesome jokes yet. We don't have a pass so only get to go once a year ish, so maybe what helps us is talking about what we all want to do and see and what we might try that is new on our next trip. Even with a pass and going more frequently, maybe that would help her? - LookSomethingShiny  28.9 #6686 12:46PM
Thank you all for your input. I think a few people didn't understand what my post was about. I don't always express myself very well in writing. So it might be my fault. I have my own pass. I go alone and I participate in meetups. I've never not had a good time. This isn't grandma trying to get a four year old to do only what grandma wants. My mini seems to have fallen into a rut. Rides she has enjoyed, like Pirates, she doesn't want to go on anymore. She's not interested in jungle cruise any more either. She loves haunted mansion and wants to go on it all the time. I just think she'd have more fun sometimes if we had others to go with. We mix things up too. Parades, rides, shows...  We throughly enjoy our visits, they are very special for both of us.  - FairyGrandmother  349.3 #779 5:45PM

Yippee! I'm going to the parks again this weekend. A couple things. The mini's AP is expiring in July. I want to visit as much as I possibly can (from hundreds of miles away) before her pass expires and try to get her to do some things she hasn't done yet. The mini and I haven't done (watched) the Jedi training. From what little I know of it, I think my mini will love it. I don't think she's eve  More...

i think hold off on buying a light saber until after the show and you see if she likes it.  - JenGwen323  2291.6 #85 9:01AM

Jedi training is great! My daughter was picked last summer when she had just turned 5. She was the smallest/youngest looking kid they picked. She jumped up and down excitedly when they were choosing. She loved it and got to fight Darth Maul. Her and her brother had cheapo light sabers at home, but then they saw the customizable ones at the Star Trader and wanted them. After being picked, they were thrilled to get them! We kept them packed away in the park. They caused modest mayhem in the hotel room. And they still play with them a year later here at home! I hope your mini loves it! We will be there this Monday and Tuesday and will try to be chosen again! - LookSomethingShiny  28.9 #6686 12:33PM

So I just tried to post with a picture twice. The first time it just went poof. Second time it wanted me to sign in with Google. There was no way to decline so that post disappeared. Why is MW requiring us to link it with our google accounts? Or is it?

I know it did that to me with video, but not when I posted regular pictures Thursday.  Of course, Google does want to control the world; maybe this is one more step.  - redsoxcarlos  6405.2 #25 5:15PM

Found in ladies room behind French Market: umbrella, looks brand new and freshly decorated. I found it half an hour ago but it took that long to find a CM that would accept it. I handed it to the cashier inside French Market.

The Cm's usually send everything to lost and found after they're done working for the day.  - secretagentangel  14013.1 #8 12:14PM
I have always been told that CM send lost items up at the end of the day and always check back with lost and found the following day. They just can't stop working every time something lost is turned in. - CoachDisney  561.4 #422 12:58PM

We have talking about breakfast since we woke the mini up. Decided on The a Plaza after reading their menu. They closed as we walked up. I think we should turn around and leave. Nothing has gone right. I've got Bly got one more hour to go move my car.,

Those days happen, don't let it get you down.  Laugh about it and explore for new food items.  Bengal bbq and a Dole Whip are great, filling snacks,  and both are just a short walk from Plaza.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  713.8 #333 11:24AM
So sorry you missed the 11am cutoff, maybe next visit?  Hope your day gets better. - barbwire  7.3 #0 11:23AM
We had lunch at the Nexican place. It was very good. Decided to do Winnie the Pooh and the DL train. Gotta move the car. I cannot remember the charge for "lost tickets" is it $30 or $60?  - FairyGrandmother  349.3 #779 1:36PM
If its the first time you lost it, then I don't think they charge you. 😊Times thereafter costs $20. You'll probably be able to park in the structure now. - Alicewhoareyou  2813.7 #63 1:51PM
A cm told me it's about $30-$35. It's worth it for me to not have to walk out there and start from scratch. It would easily cost us 1 1/2 hours. Contrary to the beliefs of a few people on another list, I do have a legit issue with doing a lot of walking on solid ground. The day is turning out okay. Some people have said happy birthday to me. That's very sweet especially since I have forgotten another guest gave me the button this morning. Another very sweet heather. I appreciate all of your suggestions. I've lost our passes. We parked in the DTD lot and went to the monorail. This sucks

Are they APs? If you you can get a one day/one time free ticket. Usually someone turns them in. If they are found you can get them reprinted for free. Otherwise it's $20 each pass. I would wait at least a day if you can since they normally get turned in. If they were day passes, do you have your credit card or any receipt? They can normally find them in a system. - DLKenCA  3632.2 #51 10:37AM

They aren't allowing anyone to park in the structure what the heck. Where are we supposed to go? I don't know my way around this place. They don't want us parking at downtown Disney the guy day Pinoco and other lots is closed for a few weeks. Parking structure won't open until 2. I drive all night for this?

Normally they will send you down to Pumba (other side of Paradise Pier). It's call the Pulse and it's to keep the streets clear. Follow the cars and they will direct you. MIGHT end up in Toy Story that has busses. Paradise pier is a short walk to DCA. You can go through Grand California hotel to get the the park. - DLKenCA  3632.2 #51 10:21AM
