I have been a disneyholic since my fist trip when I was 10 way back in 1983. Have been back 4 time since and dream of the day I can return. I do believe in fairies.

Defiantly worth the trip. You need two weeks to take it all in. Especially with every thing else there is in Florida. Off to DL myself on 27 days. Not that I'm counting though.

The Harry Potter lands at Universal (not Disney but only like 20min away) are also super awesome to experience at least once and the frozen butterbeer is soooo good!  We love DL and WDW but if you've never been to WDW you should DEfINitely go! EPCOT is great!  - spicy  643.1 #275 1:05PM
We've done the trip to disneyland 3 times as well from oz and we are going to Disneyworld in October  with 5 nights in the animal kingdom and 8 nights in the boardwalk - Kurt76  69.6 #3943 3:58AM
Good choices, I have stayed in both. Animal Kingdom is gorgeous. Boardwalk is walking distance to two parks so less busses. - ShariRenee  5594.3 #15 1:51PM
There's different things about each park. WDW is larger and bigger and has different stories and attractions that aren't in CA. Also, it has a lot more variety of food and experiences. I like to go there to recharge and enjoy the parks for a week, but overall, I'm still biased to DL because its the original. But Epcot is definitely my favorite park among the 4 there.   - BaseballMickey_CM  6787.3 #9 2:39PM
If you've never been I would definitely say WDW!  You will love it so much.  It's different in many ways, but still magical. 😊 - MinnieMousewife  810.1 #199 2:51PM

10 years old in 1983

43 in 2002 We moved to ca in 2000. I cried every Disney visit since. I'm getter better now. The first 5 years something would always make me cry. I balled my eyes out at my 1st parade - Marciamcmouse  37.5 #4966 4:42PM
20 years old year 2000. I had entered in every competition that you could win a trip to Disneyland since I was about 10. I never won but had managed to save up enough money by the time I was 20. - aussiekate  165.3 #2390 4:00AM

1970, I was 5. It was the best day, except I got burned by some man's cigarette while crammed in at the curb for the parade on Main Street. - earthgrl26  196.9 #1935 10:50PM

Make her feel at home and walk on the left hand side of the pathway.

Go to the Adventureland and spend the whole day just there. Dole whip for breakfast, Bangle BBQ, for lunch. Indy, Tree house and tiki room for fun and top it all off with the best attraction in the park, The Jungle Cruise!!! - JungleBum  1017.0 #160 9:57PM

Visit the Disneyland website for park hours, get there early to have as much time as you can, & check food review on the food tab. Most importantly have fun. - SafariSkewerJessica  1381.6 #105 9:55PM
Thanks guys! She's from Australia so I think a normal guide will do although maybe well give her a Japanese one make her figure out what it says as a joke. :) I don't know if they do it anymore but I remember they used to have random guests as the head of the parade.. I'd love if we could make that happen... Anyone know how to do it and if they still do? - karimcclure  3.8 #23699 1:49PM

I started dating my wife in the line of star tours back in 1990 when I was seventeen when she came over to the states us as a family friend. Yes I really love star tours. When we got to take our kids over there I told them the story and that if it wasn't for Disneyland they wouldn't be here.

Awwwwww! How romantic! Where was your wife visiting from? Australia? - Duchess_SMK  5909.5 #14 10:24AM
No we still live in Australia. I have tried many times to convince her that we should move but she just won't be in it. - AussiePirateKing  9.7 #9922 10:31AM
On a visit to the park with my mom and dad in 1987 (I was 6), we rode this for the first time. Apparently it was so realistic, I was convinced that we had landed on the moon of Endor and as we left the attraction I very quickly (albeit calmly) asked "How are we going to get back to our car?" My dad loves to tell that story to this day. - FunOnABun  19.3 #6745 8:58AM

We were at the Disneyland and it was the late afternoon when people started to gather in front of Star Tours (it wasn't open yet). We lucked out and got to be a part of its soft opening. It was a fun memory. - ElectricMayhemMom  1003.5 #166 8:39PM

Welcome. Just joined not long ago myself. Good to see fellow Aussies loving Disneyland. Enjoy your trip

Welcome to the lounge, try to keep some of the Disney excitement a secret until you get there. It's more fun finding out everything while you are there than before you leave. P.S. I'm from Australia as well. - Nicholas-M  326.0 #696 4:34AM

My tip is to wake up early, do tons of rides (no wait!) until lunch. Eat lunch, then go to you hotel to let your girls take a nap. At 3 or 4 P.M., go back to the park and ride until closing! That way there will be no frustrating waits, grumpy princesses, and you can fully enjoy the experience - bunnyforce5  5.1 #16606 5:55PM

I would actually ditch autopia and extend toontown into some more actual rides like a virtual animated rollercoaster.

Lol, well, I understand that Autopia is fun for kids and nostalgic for Tomorrowland, but I spend 2.5 hours a day in my car commuting in real life, so when I go on vacation, I'm not going to drive or sit in traffic if it's not necessary. :) - Spoonful_O_Sugar  569.8 #320 12:06PM
