Unfortunately there are a few people posting libelous and defamatory reviews on iTunes in an effort to hurt MouseWait. One of these users, thatwasmickeymouse, has done several illegal things to hurt the community, including trolling the Lounge with fake usernames, posting fake wait times while not in the park, posting defamatory comments on the MouseWait Facebook page, posting defamatory comments on the Internet and iTunes, making threats to MouseWaiters on our Flickr page, and more. He has even admitted some of these things IN WRITING (and I have proof of this). I will not tolerate this type of activity any more and I have decided to pursue legal action against this user and all individuals who intend to cause damage to the MouseWait app and community. In addition to this, this user's friends are helping him boost the fake reviews - I guess they are not aware of the fact that it is against the law to post false, defamatory information in writing online, and that they could receive a personal judgment which would require them to pay a monetary amount. I am also enlisting the help of Apple to help us fight this fraud as well. So the reason for this post is to put the people involved with this activity on legal notice - according to California Law, defamation could be written or oral, and communication to a single individual other than the plaintiff is enough for a defamation claim - and I will not hesitate to take action on this - because it is very important to me to have a community which excludes people who have no regard for the law or other people. I have only banned a handful of people from the Lounge in over a year, and each time it was for a very good reason. The second reason for this post is that I need your help in getting the truth out on iTunes - I am not going to tell you what to do because that is up to you but, I want to tell you how they are scamming the system. If you launch iTunes on your desktop and go to any app in the app store, on the reviews, there is an option that says "Was this review helpful?" and you can click Yes or No. The reviews with the most Yes votes go to the top. iTunes ratings are very important to an app and these people are deliberately trying to harm the MouseWait community by spreading lies and trying to hurt the app financially. If you could go to iTunes on your desktop and help us get the truth out that would be great. Thanks again and I hope this helps clear some things up.

Say it isn't so!! I know that MW has had it's ups and downs, but to go to this extent is absurd. I really don't get why someone would do that. Just to play devils advocate, I'm not sure if it is being done maliciously by just one person. To be honest there are quite a few people (mostly from other apps and Disney sites) who really don't care for MW or it's users. I know it's sad to think, but it is true. I witnessed this first hand during last years Gumball Rally. I am loyal to MW and admit to visiting other Disney apps/sites, but would never go so far as to disrespect this app or it's members. I have made a lot of really great friends and look forward to meeting many of the new users when I return next year. I hope that if any of u decide to leave this app ( I don't know why u would), that u do it quietly and don't cause a scene. Thank u Admin, and everyone who has made MW what it is today.
