##NEWS. The filming of the Christmas Day parade will be this weekend, November 3-4. I believe they film on Saturday for the Christmas Day Special (the parade) and Sunday (possibly for the New Year's performance in front of the castle). Please feel free to correct me. If you would like to be considered a spectator at the edge of the curb for the parade please try to wear holiday/Christmas colors and attire. Have fun! Last year some MWers made it on tv!

Saturday is usually the parade. If there is a concert it's that night. And they do other filming on Sunday for filler. - Waites4DodgerEars

I'm planning on being there the Nov 3-4 weekend since I couldn't make it this weekend due to a family emergency. Does the parade taping make the park extremely busy.....or just a little harder to navigate through Main Street? Thanks for any info....just trying to plan ahead! - SBsnowwhite

It clogs up a bit of Main Street, but you can easily avoid that by navigating through the shops. The rest of the park was as busy as a typical, early November day. - susieQzee 480.6 #245 10:43PM

I've been in this parade, for the macys day parade. It takes place on Saturday, and that is also when they film the performance of whoever singer. When I did it 4 years ago, I was a backup dancer for Corbin Bleu and The Jonas Brothers performed. It is an incredible experience and I highly suggest watching from the sides because we got to interact with the crowd a little bit. And you might make it on TV! - noelleybelly

I beleive last year it started at 10. We only hung out in the parade route till 2. It was getting hot plus we has a 3 year old with us. But it was fun while it lasted. A lot if waiting. We sat next to a camera man whose sole purpose was to take crowd reaction shots. Our girls were dressed in holiday gear. Couple of things.. Like IDVSCM said the is on Saturday. If its anything like last year, and they tape the New Years concert Saturday since more guests will be in attendance. Sunday they film the indoor shots like the did with Christina A. (Sorry couldn't spell her name right). If you're going To the parade, wear comfortable shoes since last year they made everyone stand up, no sitting was allowed on the curbs edge. Be festive and energetic, that's what cameramen look for in the crowd. And plan to stay for a few hours because they will run the parade through a few times.
