#News from Disney blog The Candlelight Ceremony and Processional has been a Disneyland Resort tradition since 1958, bringing holiday magic to Main Street, U.S.A., with the help of celebrities like Cary Grant, John Wayne, Dick Van Dyke and, in 2011, Gary Sinise.
This holiday season – for the first time in its history – the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is being extended to a total of 20 nights at Disneyland park, with two performances each night. The first two nights, December 1-2, will be invitation-only events; however, performances from December 3-20 will be open to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders and guests booking special, to-be-announced dining packages for the 2012 holiday season. This is a good idea. After working the event last year, many guests were upset that it was only 2 nights and did not want to spend the whole day saving a bench for the show. Also, it was a challenge having so many people on Main street as the parades ended as people rushed to claim their spot. But now I'm even more curious on who is going to be the guest narrator and are they doing all 20 performances? - BaseballMickey_CM

dont they close disneyland at 12am during the christmas season. how are they pulling this off and how will it affect the christams fantasy parade schedules. i always wanted to see the candlelight ceremony but we also like watching the parade at night. - pikarich

I hope to see it this year. When I was in high school, my choir performed in it, which was a wonderful experience. I have never been in the audience though - 2princesses
