Did you know? The Red Car Trolleys were modeled after the Pacific Electric Railway that ran through SoCal from 1901 to 1961. DCA's cars are battery operated, while the original cars in LA were powered by overhead wires. One of the trolly's number is 717 referencing DL's opening day, July 17th. There's another one with the number 623, which was actually the number of an old Pacific Electric Railroad car and is
an homage to the year Walt arrived in California.

The Red Car used to run down Vineland Ave directly across the street from my shop. They are currently restoring the 1893 North Hollywood train depot that the Red Car used. It's at the corner of Lankershim and Chandler in NoHo. - ScooterMike

A cast member told us that the trolleys can not run without being connected to the wires, and the main charging spot is next to the tower of terror and it takes about 7 mins to charge it. :) - Goofy4Art
