On this day in Disney history: June 22- 1955- Walt Disney Pictures releases "Lady and the Tramp". This was the first animated film to be released in the CinemaScope widescreen format. 1970- The Walt Disney Archives are founded. 1985- Videopolis opens in Fantasyland. 1988- Touchstone Pictures releases "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", which then inspired the ToonTown attraction at Disneyland.

I love Lady and the Tramp. I have a hard time watching it now or even hearing the music makes me want to cry, and I'm not a cryer; but, I had a precious dog named Lady who had a personality just like the Disney cartoon. I miss that dog. - Princess_Pirate
