Ok,i need to hear about all the little details and secrets that are on the Haunted mansion (like the crow thing-had no idea). And does the bride have a name? Anything else? Thanks :D

The pane of glass in there is a special type of glass. It had to be lowered in from above and imagineers were told once it was installed it could never be replaced if it were dammaged. Everything was fine until the mid 80's when a guest thought it would be funny to bring a bb gun into the park. He fired a shot into the glass and the bb went through the first pane of glass (which was just regular glass and subsequently replaced) and got stuck in the fancy glass and cracked it. He also fired the gun in the Grand Canyon and Adventures through Inner Space, those two could be replaced, but in order to fix the Haunted Mansion they would have to remove it with a helicopter and remove the roof. - CM_LionGeek

Pirates and Mansion were related in story before the retcon.(I'll add a link when i get home/ hence the ghost ship painting and ship weather vain). Supposedly a little boys ashes were spread on the attraction and he now haunts it, appearing as a lost little boy at the exit after closing or a single boy in a doom buggy. - shadowgamer

I don't know if this is still true, but when they change to the Holiday version, nothing is removed from the original. Everything is just placed over or on top of the existing stuff. And Holiday is the only time you can see 'behind the curtain' in the dining room scene. It reveals a library with Zero in it. - BlueberryCrusader

The curtain was closed before the holiday concept. During the creation the team wondered what was behind it so they created a scene. And yes it is Jack and Zero at the entrance of the cemetery. And according to the NBC deluxe version, it's an overlay. - BlueberryCrusader 650.5 #162 9:50PM

Some of THe ghosts that haunt the mansion are passed family members of cast members that work at the mansion and some imagineers if you remove the plates on the table in The ballroom the pictures of the now ghosts are under them - cmdlgurl

I remember reading somewhere that the guy hanging from the rafters in the stretching room is supposed to be the body of the Ghost Host narrating the attraction. "There's always my way" meaning he hung himself to try to escape? Sounds gruesome but is there any truth to that story? - Jillian

I have heard the same, but I think uppity did a backstage tour at WDW and told me something about the rope breaking and that's why you hear the scream and breaking glass. Jay's tombstone! There is a small tombstone in the graveyard scene with the name JAY and his occupation (doctor, lawyer?). It's the only one I've ever seen with an actual name on it. Some guy supposedly won this honor in an auction or something. - bluefairy
