My family may have the opportunity to visit DL Paris this summer. Having never been before, I would love any advise, reviews, tips, etc. Specifically, how many days you recommend going for...and for those who traveled there with young kids how they enjoyed the parks, and how they coped with the jetlag and long flights! Thank you so much! ✨

It was an awesome experience! Small compared to DL but definitely something I'm glad to have been able to do! From what I remember, the atmosphere was just as magical, and as DL like as it was in some ways, it sure sticks out from it! Indiana Jones is an upside down ride lol, there's a huge Alice in Wonderand maze thing, pirates takes a picture lol, uhmm most stuff is actually in English before French which was nice, and no fireworks :( we actually went on July 4th, and one day we covered most, but they have another park like MGM that we didn't get to do, but it's close by like Cali ads. So yea, definitely go and enjoy it!!(: can't wait to hear what you think if you get to go!!! Hope I helped as far as reviews go! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 10:01PM
Very helpful, thank you so much! Crossing my fingers we can make the trip happen! - MinnieMousewife  570.3 #194 10:07PM
You are so welcome!!! I wish I could help with tips and planning and stuff, but my dad took care of that stuff lol (I was 14 at the time) but yea, it's so great! Definitely worth it! Plus we has been traveling all over England the 2 weeks before, so we didn't have to deal with the jet lag by then! :D - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 10:10PM
Id only go for two days that's plenty of time. I would make sure you book a hotel on resort because its not really in Paris and quite a ways away from the heart of Paris by train..I enjoyed it and think that any Disney fan should make the trip - Dave  8638.7 #2 10:11PM
Yea, we actually stayed the night before and of in a seperate hotel closer to the park and took a shuttle bus there where they take guests specifically to the park, I can try bad get the name of it for you, because we stayed further out by the Eiffel tower and it was just easier to book another hotel closer as well. - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 10:15PM
Thank you! 😃 - MinnieMousewife  570.3 #194 10:16PM
Me or dave? Or both?😃 - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 10:19PM
Both of you!! 😊😊 - MinnieMousewife  570.3 #194 10:31PM
Awesome! Yay us Dave!!!😁👍☺ - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 10:36PM
where are you flying from?? we are in CA and have decided to fly to Boston or NY first for a few nights then head over to Europe. Ease into into it. and time your flights so you get there in the p.m., if possible. first time I went to Europe(100 yrs ago) we didnt know this and arrived in Spain at 6a.m. it was very hard to stay up after traveling all day. if DLP is similar to DLCalifornia, I would allow 3/4 days. but then I would also want to explore Paris. best wishes!! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.5 #42 9:54PM
Thank you...we live in CA too! 😊 - MinnieMousewife  570.3 #194 9:57PM
Yes get there at NIGHT!! It really really helps with jet lag! Even early evening. I went years ago with my 2 cousins and aunt I was 17, they were 4 and 2. It worked great getting there early evening. We got to the hotel, ate and went to bed. The kids didn't really even notice the time change. - Minnis2Society  360.0 #389 10:20PM
I've been to Europe and Australia, and for both trips, we landed at 5:30 am. Not a good idea! - Spoonful_O_Sugar  436.2 #285 10:24PM
5:30?? holy smokes!! one time we went to Europe and got there just aftr noon. so we got to the hotel, were tired but decided to head out to wake up a bit. we were draggin so bad. then we thought maybe if we got ice cream, that would keep us awake-ish. FIRST time EVER that I ate a cone and it dripped down my hand bc I was nodding off. ahahaha! - HandMeAChurroImmaFaint  1798.5 #42 10:45PM
I agree with everything Dave said. You really will want to stay out there and have a couple days at the parks. My biggest tip is to do as much research, watch you tube videos everything you can to find out what the parks have to offer and what you want to see. We didn't do this and had NO idea there was a dragon under the castle!! Little things I wish we had known before hand. Go on the rides there that are your favorites at our park. It's so fun to see the differences, and there are a lot of differences. Don't assume just because it's called the same thing, it will be the same. I discovered that on Space mountian 2(?), that ride almost gave me a heart attack, because I wasn't expecting the loops and cork screws. Haha. Don't skip the Studio park! Crushes ride is the best! ...oh I can't wait to go back! - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2550.6 #22 10:55PM
Ahhh I remember the loop and cork screws on SM2!!! And it rattles your head hard! But te launch was siiiiccckkkk!!!! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 10:58PM
We stayed out by the park, but not at a DL park. It was a good deal too. I'm sure you could find a great deal out there and it will save so much time not having to take the train in. - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2550.6 #22 10:58PM
Right!? I had my eyes shut the whole time! It freaked me out. I'm sure it would be better now that I know what to expect. 😊 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2550.6 #22 10:59PM
Haha yea it sooo caught me by surprise the first time we went on it!!! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  850.9 #107 11:02PM
When I went to Paris I stayed in a Studio hotel called phenicio that was by the train station Malakoff - Plateau de Vanves. It was really cheap but about 40 min away from Disney by train. But the cool thing was that the train drops you off right In front of the Disneyland resort. Two days is definitely more than enough. I went for one day bc I was only in Paris for 3 days and wanted to visit the museums and the Effiel Tower and I was able to see everything. They did have fireworks when I went mid July but they didn't have music to go with it. Space mountain mission 2 was really rough and made me feel sick. I loved their Alice maze and haunted manor and big thunder. At the Disney studios park crush's coaster was my favorite ride it was really unique and different from anything I've ever experienced before. - Principessa  294.5 #641 11:00PM
