Ok you asked! First I love to sleep, that said... David got up first every morning and he would ask me to marry him every morning. This went on for weeks so finally I yelled "OK, I'll marry you, now shut up and let me sleep!!!!!" that day I went out and got a dress. That's how I said yes. True story...swear! - SueBayou

OMG see so much fun.! It was a beautiful chilly starry night and my boyfriend and I were walking through my most favorite place on earth Disneyland. We were sitting together and had outstanding front row seats to watch the fire works. As always the fire works were magical....but then I noticed that the end of the show was different... Tinker bell flew down to the ground from onto of the matterhorn and walked up to Beau and I and escorted us to the front of the castle, then some man got on the loud speaker and said ladies and gentleman I now present you with our main act of the evening Mr. Beau! Then it started to snow and he got down on his knee and birds flew into the sky and the stars glittered. Then he said how super cool I was, and I started to cry because I am a sap and then BAM! We were engaged, we got into Cinderella's horse drawn carriage and then rode to the main entrance. Then we bought a vinylmation. and we lived happily ever after:)Β - BooEve123

My ex asked me one valentines evening before going to sleep. Then he was caught cheating. So I quickly showed him the door and made him leave everything my name was on. he left with only his clothes. πππ - KissDclown

I would of kept the clothes... ;) - vikkimus 197.9 #1658 3:52PM
Yikes. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It probably made you a stronger person, though, and it's good you found out before the wedding. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.1 #285 3:53PM
:( Good for you hun. I have a ZERO tolerance for cheaters. You are pretty and amazing personality another man will appreciate that! You are kind to let him leave with the clothes on I would kick him out of the house naky! - BooEve123 800.3 #115 3:53PM
True, vikkimus. You could send them to a consignment store and make money, lol. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.1 #285 3:54PM
When I left my ex boyfriend after he cheated I took all his clothes and all the towels(very important) and put them in the shower turned on water and added a bag of flour. Ya, don't mess with a Kelly!!! - SueBayou 2012.0 #34 3:57PM
Haha I'm very thankful to not be with him. I didn't want to deal with his clothes. But I kept his Dodge Charger (along with my car) and the motorcycle. Kept the tv and all his movies. Ended up being talked into giving the tv and DVDs back by my family (curse them). It did make me stronger. It sent me back to nursing school and I'm doing well in life. He tried to friend me on fb last month (idiot) so I peeked at his page. He is still the same. Broke as ever and with more bastard children (and I mean that as the actual term) and I blocked him lol - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 4:07PM
I also got some awesome crystal and china out of it too haha needless to say the whole house was mine except those few items πππ - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 4:09PM
@KissDaClown I so can relate and it too was a catalyst for my nursing career - Plumiegirl 3322.9 #10 7:44PM

Hubby proposed on Christmas. We had opened all the presents and were cleaning up to head over to my mom's house. I went to the restroom and when I came back into the living room our cat was playing under the tree with something. He asked me to get what the cat was playing with in case it was trash because he didn't want another mess to clean up. I picked up the box the cat was playing with and turned around to hubby on his knee. He then took the box out of my hand and proposed π - LBChica

My husband proposed while we were watching Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown in 2008.Β He waited to ask until I had a mouthful of nachos, lol.Β It was perfect :)Β He was planning on asking me in front of the castle at DL until I made a big deal about how I wouldn't want him to do anything like that, lol.Β Little did I know that's what he was actually planning! - Spoonful_O_Sugar

We went down to WDW for the weekend and we were catching up on our pics the last day. The MK closed early so we were taking one last castle pic and he told me to stand still while he went to talk to the cm taking our pics. She started smiling really big and he walked back to me. He got down on one knee and pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. I said yes of course... The CM was crying :) - vikkimus

I think the first time I proposed was with a green VW Beetle toy car. It was her fav car at the time. I remember buying the ring with her sister and being so nervous about asking that I dropped the bag while walking in the mall. - HotDiggityDogDaddy

Open up all the drawers and cabinets and inspect everything whenever we are at a hotel so while I was in the bathroom snooping he hid the ring in one of the drawers in the room for me to find! - kinglv17

That's funny! My now-husband proposed to Cruella in DCA. It was pretty funny--you could tell the CM was caught off guard. - Spoonful_O_Sugar 436.1 #285 4:48PM
My husband re-proposed last year in the garden of the Bellagio. We were there celebrating our 17 year anniversary. He hit his knee, took my hand, asked me if I would still his wife and put a brand new diamond ring on my finger. I about had a heart attack. I had no idea he had this planned. You see, I lost my wedding band after we were married. Being a young struggling family we never replaced it, Until that magical moment! β€ - macmom

My husband had planned an outing with friends to go to the city. We ended up at the Marine Headlands overlooking the Golden Gate. We got out of the car and starting looking out at the bridge. He dropped down on his knee and proposed. And all I could ask is if my dad had given the ok. I don't think I ever actually said yes. Our wedding invite was a picture of us where he proposed. - CherryTreeLane

We have been together 38 yrs and married 36. He never really "proposed" it was just a given. He didn't want to get married until he was 35 (12 yrs down the road)! So I broke up with him. A month later got back together but were engaged 1 1/2 yr. Had to wait for Presidents Day sale to get my ring so we could save 33%!! This said he is my Prince. Doesn't give me flowers but I have been given lots of sparkly stuff and am lucky to have beautiful homes. Most important we are each others soul mates. Love him dearly. - sewgirl

My husband proposed to me 6 Thanksgivings ago. We were at his Grandparents house and we shared the wish bone. Of course I won, having the bigger half. I closed my eyes to make my wish... Opened them up and he was on his knee. Ask me to marry him & the rest is history. We celebrated our 4th wedding Anniversairy this last Thanksgiving. - michmyers85

My husband proposed at midnight on new years eve on the 103rd floor of the stratosphere in Vegas. We went to this party thing that was all you could drink. I knew something was up when my cranberry vodka switched to plain cranberry half way through. It was beautiful - fireworks all around us and all

The really short version: We decided to get married after six days of dating. (Yes, days.) He formally asked me while sitting in his car overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. We got the engagement ring a few weeks later, along with the wedding rings. We got married eight months later, and that was nearly six years ago. - robin_sparkles
