VIDEO: The Ambassador Program is a tradition that began at the Disneyland Resort in 1965 when Walt Disney realized the need for an official representative of Disneyland. Currently, each of Disney's resort destinations around the world has an Ambassador whose full-time duties include participating in more than 200 events each year.

I've met the current amabssadors, Rene and Jolle. They're extremely wonderful and warm people! They go through a rigorous interview process...and I mean rigorous because they represent all members of the Walt Disney Company. If you are determined to become an ambassador, be sure to have your wits about you because it's the wildest ride in the wilderness! No...really, it is. - BCC

A dear friend of mine was the Disney Ambassador to Tokyo. Dec. 27th will mark the 5th anniversary of her passing. A brain tumor took her from us way too soon. :( Each trip to DLR makes me think of Christina. - susieQzee
