I was reading another thread and it sprouted up the idea for a new one. I'm sure this isn't the only thread like this, but c'est la vie! Does anyone have any top experiences with cast members that made their trip to the park(s) particularly memorable? I have a whole scheme of them. One time a cast member at City Hall gave my whole family 12 front-of-the-line fast passes because there was a temporary power outage and we were on a tight schedule. Also, last week when I was heading through bag check at night, I overheard a cast member with no queue say "Hello ladies..." Unfortunately, we walked right past him and went through another bag check entrance. He looked like a dog with his tail between his legs, very disappointed, so I skipped over to him and let him check my bag. He laughed and said, "Thanks! I need the practice!" Please share your experiences! DL cast members are the best :)

I was feeling pretty upset and emotional one day at DL, I sat down on the curb at The Hub while my husband went to buy me some bacon wrapped asparagus (because that makes everything better). While I was sitting there a CM walked up and asked if I was feeling alright, I tried to casually brush him off because I was embarrased, but he persisted so I told him I felt pretty lousy. The CM took me over to a reserved area for the parade and told me to enjoy the view and he hoped I would feel better. I dont even remember his name, but he made me feel so special! - Geekery  227.1 #1279 12:20PM
Back in the early 2000's there was a clarinet player in New Orelans Square named Vince. I'm a clarinet player too (among other instruments) and I was there with my high school's concert band for a clinic. We'd finished the workshop and those of us with smaller instruments opted to carry them in our backpacks rather than truck 'em back to the bus. Vince chatted with my group of friends and I and serenaded us with some Yo Ho and Friend Like Me. He saw one of my friends push her flute case aside to get her jacket from her bag and asked if we had our instruments with us. Most did and he asked if we were jazz fans. I was the only one in jazz band too. Long story getting cut short: Vince and I had an impromptu performance of "Begin the Beguine" right in NOS. People stopped and listened and applauded and I'm pretty sure I had the biggest adreniline rush of my life. That was such an amazing experience and so awesome to play with someone so talented! - mandigutterrose  156.4 #2204 9:07PM

Phoebe: All right, it seems pretty simple. Your first line is "My name is Claude", so, just repeat after me. "Je m'appelle Claude". Joey: Je de coup Clow. Phoebe: Well, just... let's try it again. Joey: Ok. Phoebe: Je m'appelle Claude. Joey: Je depli mblue. Phoebe: Uh. It's not... quite what I'm saying. Joey: Really? It sounds exactly the same to me. Phoebe: It does, really? Joey: Yeah. Phoebe: All right, let just try it again. Really listen. Joey: Got it. Phoebe: (slowly) Je m'appelle Claude. Joey: Je te flouppe Fli. Phoebe: Oh, mon Dieu! Joey: Oh, de fuff! - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1112.2 #74 2:59PM

last year for my Husband Bday one of the CM's at a popcorn cart gave my Hubby a free box of popcorn because he was wearing his birthday button. He only charged us for the coke and said "on behalf of Disneyland Happy Birthday!" It was just really cool. We went to City Hall and told them how he made our day. - Dzny4Ever  172.6 #1968 10:06AM
Back in July when we were heading back into the park my 5 yr old daugter was wearing her pink minnie ears and as we were entering the park she decided she did not want to wear them and gave them to me so I immediately put them on (she laughed and said DAD you look like a girl) and as soon as we walked in a CM came over and greeted us. He said he saw me in line with the ears on and had to come over and say hi becuase he just knew we were having a great time. He talked to us for a bit and told us to hold on he will be right back. He was gone for about 5 minutes and we almost left but he came back with a every ( iwant to say it was 6 different ones)button Disney had and gave them to us and gave each one of my kids a pin. He said we made his day and he wanted to make ours by giving us something special. That was the first time I ever talked to a CM for 30 minutes... - ZBrerFox  171.5 #1979 4:45AM
Last week we asked the Nemo Sub CM at the entrance of the line if we could keep my 27 month old daughter in her stroller during the outer part of the queue (I had heard you could do this, it was easily a 30 minute wait). He said they no longer allow this but then escorted the three of us to the front of the line. I almost got tearful I was so grateful as my daughter loves Nemo and cuddles with her plush fish every night. - Polkadobo  372.1 #371 9:49AM
We were standing in front of the Matterhorn trying to decide which side to get in line and a really nice older CM noticed that my granddaughter was autisic and let us in through a gate right to the front of the line. I wished I would have gotten his name so I could have let City Hall know how helpful he was. - Disneylanddeb  228.2 #1268 10:24AM
We have been blessed so many times by CM's. Once a cm gave us VIP seating for fireworks. It was amazing! Another time we were chosen to carry the velvet rope down hollywood blvd to ToT and got to sign the guest book and ride alone. Another time I was talking to a cm at riverbelle terrace before fantasmic and we were from the same hometown and she gave me 2 readmission passes for any rides. It brought me to tears she was so sweet! So many more but those are definately the highlights! - jimcricketmom  201.2 #1612 8:06PM
Mine isn't as great as the ones above, but a few weeks ago, I was on my first solo event and decided to try my first DL churro while relaxed in NOS. I got the churro and handed over my debit card and the dang card reader broke down. I felt bad and since I didn't have any cash, went to hand the churro back to the CM since I couldn't pay and she just told me to keep it and enjoy. It's the little things that make my day. - Sarafina  398.6 #335 8:44PM

A few years ago, we went to DL and that time Baja California residents had the oportunity to get the two parks on diferent day ticket, and the lady selling the tickets didn't got that offer, we were so confussed that my dad asked a security man for help and he kindy went to the ticket booth and ask about the offer to us mexicans, she took the tickets and gave new ones, he gave them to my father and asked if it was the first time one the park when my dad said I have been coming the year after the park opened he gave us a big smile of happiness, we thank him very much for helping us and enter DL, two weeks later went to DCA and look for this kind CM and found him, and he remember us, and was happy because we came back. He made our trip more happy - irmouse  241.8 #1094 9:41AM
My mom had passed so for the year anniversary, my sister, brother & I made shirts and went around having characters sign them. End of trip my sister went to hotel, with the marker in her bag and moms favorite was there, Timon! Hadn't seen him the whole week & it was our last day! We figured just photos would have to do, got there and the cm with Timon had her hometown from Forks, WA which is our hometown! Plus she ran backstage to find a permanent marker for our shirts! It was really a special moment that still comes up! - ljoy  5.1 #10271 2:24PM
Awww ljoy tht made me tear up for real....it amazes me the magic disney has at the exact time its needed...i am happy u remmebered her in tht special way - akmouser73  139.1 #2456 2:47PM
Timon's my favorite too. - maxinerenton  415.1 #311 9:17AM
Last night when the Matterhorn broke down a group behind us in line was playing a clapping game to pass time and one of the CMs wanted to play and joined it. It's nice seeing CMs interact with guests like that:) - brookerly95  123.0 #2680 2:33PM
My best CM experience by far- Got on Splash Mountain just before the park closed so by the time we got off New Orleans was empty. We stopped to take pictures in front of the Haunted Mansion gates but the pictures were not coming out good. A CM sweeping up trash came up to us and gave us tips. We took a few more pictures then he talked to us more. We talked about cameras, rides, Pirates movie, Johnny Depp, and so much more! We slowly walked with him from Haunted Mansion all the way to the Castle! I thought he was so nice to stop working to walk us. Then in front of the castle he gave us more camera tips! My most favorite experience ever! - MissAshley  113.6 #2840 3:11PM
Best CM experience for me would be when I was 7 or 8. Fantasmic had just come out and my relatives (2 cousins, my aunt and uncle) plus my family of 5 were trying to get a good spot to watch it. A security CM noticed our large group trying to find a view my aunt could see from since she was in a wheel chair and led us into what was the Disney Gallery, through some doors and into what is now the Dream Suite Patio. Talk about an amazing event and view for all of our first time seeing the show. I've seen that show so many times and nothing compares to that view. - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 7:25PM
Once I was trading pins with a cast member and they had one I needed to finish the set. Unfortunately, I had no more traders but the wonderful cast member said "Take it". One of my best CM experiences!!! - TheGirlWhoHasEverything  205.5 #1542 10:26AM
My best CM experience was on the Jungle Cruise on my son's birthday. He saw my son's birthday button and got everyone on the boat to sing Happy Birthday to my little 5 year old. So sweet! - patricialynn  21.4 #4933 7:03PM
I was on that boat if it was recently. - shadowgamer  1954.3 #37 7:19PM
Dont they make water in france? - RyanP  242.3 #1084 8:58PM
Aw, I like this thread! I don't have any crazy cool ones but I've run into some nice crowd control CMs while waiting on the curb for fireworks. One gal had a full on conversation with me about Christmas and where I was from while I was waiting for my husband to get me a hot chocolate. A couple weeks ago a CM outside TSMM noticed I had a bunch of Maleficent pins on my lanyard and she called out "I have a cool Maleficent if you want to trade!" and it made my day because I hadn't even noticed she had a lanyard on. I've also come across nice, older CMs working the register in the candy store on Main Street. And I LOVE funny tram drivers who sing or make jokes because they figure nobody is listening anyway. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #108 12:58PM
I love the funny tram people too. I'm always listening to them. - Yoshi  257.2 #932 2:13PM
Christmas time at Disneyland a few years ago while on the tram to the parking structure. CM sang "Disney Bells" the whole time! I can't even remember all the words but he got the whole tram to sing along! - MissAshley  113.6 #2840 2:19PM
i had been looking for urban7 in the vinyls for the penguin and i found them at the adventureland bazaar and i was trying to figure out which one had the penguin in it. Dakota (CM) came over and said, "buy two and i garuntee you will get the one you want, disney magic" i was like ok (rolled eyes) and the first one i opened was the penguin. i teared up. pure luck? NO, i like to think it was disney magic and walt giving me some luck. you see i had done a random RAK the day before and run into vinylchaser and given him the vinyl Abe lincon. that penguin has a special spot amoung my thousands of penguins and every time i look at him i experience my disney magic all over again - EvilQueenJex  142.2 #2408 8:33PM
