Last year was the first year my son was able to go on that ride. Right when we were the next ones to get on, it breaks down. That ride needs some serious maintenance. - Lelundrial

Gettin' worried about it. My hubby and I went a few weeks ago and it broke down twice. Funny part was - after we sat with the lights on for 10 mins, then it started up again with that "off kilter soundtrack"...lol...so at the end of the ride at the last bend, Indy says: "Now you can't tell me THAT wasn't alot of fun!" - Alicewhoareyou

We've been on it and when they tell you to pull on the yellow strap & then sat for quite a while. They kept on checking & rechecking out seat belts. Whenever finally let us go our ride was really lame even less jerky. When we got back they said that our car was showing one of out seatbelts not connected & that was the reason for the lame ride & they let us stay on and ride it again. A that to say I wonder how many times the "break downs" are somethig simple like that? Like a seatbelt light going off during the ride & they have to stop it. - dizneymama

Indy has always been touch and go. Cm have told me it's due to high sensitivity modern sensors each car has to each other and them on their own. If cars are to close to each other they stop, if seatbelt is detected not connected it stops. But that they have to be a certain distance from each other or else it senses as a precaution...don't know how valid that is, but that's the explanation a cm told us... - MarshaMouse

It's broken down twice when I've been on it. Once was a walk off and once it took them a while and they got it back up again. Walking off was fun, didn't have as much fun sitting in the dark the second time... - LaneSparrow316

I was stuck on it once and I was squeeing like a kid in a candy store! I was so excited. Lights came on, effects off and safety rails up. I was thinking and hoping for a walk off. We joked with the tourists in our car that we needed to call AAA. Maintenance walked up from behind and checked our undercarriage and said we ran over a hat! So I was right! We had a flat tire and just needed a litt le assistence in the form of a few skilled disney ride techs! - EeyoreGirl

That ride, I tell ya... I love it but so frustrating. Without fail, every visit I make, it breaks down at least once or twice. - CadaverousPallor
