Anyone planning to attend the Trick-or-Treat parties this year? If so, which day?

My Disney persona is Grumpy, so here goes... I am offended that there is a separate charge for an event going on in the parks. I am an AP holder (like so many) and do not feel such a charge is warranted. I backslide when I say that I love Disney in all fashions, and just might be less offended if the charge for such events were equal to "buying into" a blocked day. There! I said it! - alankeno

JungleCruiser and I are hoping to be able to go. Contingent upon my lumbar injections working, and FINALLY getting released back to work from Workers Comp. Been off since Dec. 15th. APs do not count for special events. It's a lot more than just the fireworks. You get practically your money's worth on just the candy you get alone. It was still hard getting a relatively good spot for the fireworks last year even with it being exclusive. (and a Tues night mid month) When we went the year before on a regular day, we waited for 2.5 hrs for a good spot and some ppl who came up at the last minute ruined it for us, we were very angry! Besides, people were still watching them from the esplande (in between DL & DCA) anyway... - TickledTink

I guess I just don't get why Disney would charge you twice to get into the parks. And candy hardly justifies the extra money. If they start charging for the christmas events like it is rumored i will be disappointed. - DisneyBride°O°

Ap holders, I understand why you would be upset but from what I've read this event is supposed to sell out quickly. I don't think it would be any fair if the only ppl going to this event were ap holders not all of us could live ten minutes away from dl, I spent 192 on tickets to guarantee us tickets. No overlay at WDW. I'm going this year with my hubby! I don't like that they yanked the Halloween screams and parade from the general admission, but everything else is not something they usually do, so in that instance the separate cost is acceptable. - bluefairy
