My favorite place to eat is the Cafe Orleans. I love the pomme frites and monte cristo. Not only are they both delicious but it is comfort food to the max. It just makes my tummy and soul happy. - aidensmama  340.3 #746 8:56PM
My most favorite place to eat is Napa Rose. I would eat there every time if I could. I can't really choose a favorite dish because the menu is seasonal and changes frequently. The food is exceptional and the service is impeccable. The cost is only a few dollars more than the Blue Bayou but you cannot put the Blue Bayou against Napa Roses food or service. ๎— - Dahulagirl  1055.6 #189 6:55PM
I agree! I've only eaten there once, but it was by far one of the best meals we've ever had, ANYWHERE! - PrincessKristin  780.8 #263 9:16AM
LOVE Rancho del Zorro!!!! I have the burrito w/ steak * note: I usually eat it for lunch since it is such a big meal, then snack the rest of the day - mzdisnee  569.4 #15 6:14PM
I love breakfast at the Plaza. The French toast is the best I've ever had. - Missshelly  698.3 #301 8:43PM
I'm a vegetarian, so it's much harder for me to find food in the parks. I usually stuck to ice cream at the golden horseshoe or a veggie burger from hungry bear. But since using MouseWait, I've found that Rancho(which I couldn't even locate before) has cheese enchiladas, Bengal BBQ has veggie kabobs and where I can find a three cheese Monte cristo. Very valuable information for my trip in T-5 days. - DelilahJo3  178.7 #2345 8:23AM
I am too!!!! And I am SUPER picky. - missariel33  2115.6 #81 5:21PM
I can give you a long list of my favs if u want?! Let me know ๐Ÿ˜‰I eat quite a bit at the parks and have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve...lol - missariel33  2115.6 #81 5:22PM

My favorite meal is the veggie gumbo at Royal Street Veranda in New Orleans Square. The gumbo is thick and hearty and sits on a bed of rice in a chewy sourdough bowl. Plus- it is completely vegan! - Vegan7LuvsStitch  1027.1 #196 8:53PM
Being the health nut that I am, I have to say Bengal BBQ. One of the healthiest options in the parks. - Yoshi  257.6 #1347 7:00PM
You are right... Bengal is great. The chicken at the Inn is too greasy. I expected it to be like Roscoe's chicken and waffles and it wasn't. I also like Flo's Diner. - verofern  138.6 #3001 2:36AM
The plaza inn and the Mexican restaurant - sylviamta  16.1 #8693 7:15PM

@DelilahJo3, I'm a vegetarian as well so one of my favorite spots in the park is The Carnation Cafe. They have a great veggie sandwich! - kbeenss  181.8 #2311 8:51AM
I love the potato soup at Carnation Cafe...I usually get it with a sandwich. Next time I am at DL I am going to try the Plaza Inn chicken since that seems to be a favorite of many people! Thanks Admin, fun post to read and get ideas! - MinnieMousewife  923.5 #214 7:30PM
Carnation Cafe - cindy4eva  5.0 #19741 9:17PM
The places we always have to eat at are Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans and Rancho Del Zocalo. Blue Bayou for the atmosphere and Jambalaya, Cafe Orleans for beignets, and Rancho for tasty, big portions. For DCA, Wine Country Trattoria. Good food, good wine. 'nuff said. :-D - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1247 11:09AM
Thunder Ranch BBQ is sooo yummy!  (and all you can eat!) - CinderellyKelly  202.4 #2039 9:25AM

Plaza inn fried chicken dinner. You will never taste broasted chicken like this again. 3 large pieces of chicken, green beans, a biscuit, mashed potatoes and gravy. Enough to share but still a great price if you don't. - Linzee  1402.0 #138 8:57PM

Winner winner chicken dinner! Of all the places that are easily accessible, I like the plaza inn chicken. Of course, blue bayou, club 33, and napa rose are great. ๎– - bluefairy  643.8 #334 7:04PM
I agree that Plaza Inn is a great place to go to dinner but for the people who don't like chicken or want pasta, I like the different choices you get for pasta. Plus you get a garlic bread that goes really well with whatever kind of pasta you choice. - disneydramasingar  17.0 #8432 7:04PM
My favorite place to eat dinner is at the blue bayou! I love their braised short ribs and every meal comes with either a salad or gumbo and they are both delicious! Then for desert we always get the creme brรปlรฉe! And you just can't beat the atmosphere, you are in the pirates of the caribbean! - Nesabell  157.7 #2675 7:10PM
Blue bayou. Monte Cristo with the salad. Very tasty...crave it between visits - ToshiStation  62.9 #4507 7:24PM

I agree 100% with Dahula... Napa Rose is my favorite dinner restaurant - and unfortunately, BB is off my list completely because of the price. If I want to spend $30+ per person, I go to Napa! - msdizmaui  845.0 #234 7:33PM
Blue Bayou Filet Mignon is really good! And of course the potatoes are excellent! - cormierj1  14.2 #9326 7:34PM
I really like the chicken sandwhich with honey mustard at Hungry Bear. I always get it with sweet potato fries. I love the atmosphere too with the river right there. The food is also reasonably - Heather  262.9 #1301 7:39PM
Priced (I pushed submit too fast) - Heather  262.9 #1301 7:39PM
Okay I'm not going to name just one because I just can't...1. Club 33 because it is an incredible experience (I have only had the chateaubriand so I only have one option for a favorite) 2. Blue Bayou for the atmosphere more than anything 3. Steakhouse 55 (for another great steak dinner) 4. Plaza Inn chicken because it is yummy and affordable (I usually split it with my daughter) And someday soon I hope to add Napa Rose to the list! - ghosthost  338.0 #759 7:40PM

Napa Rose is the best in the area, by far. Sit at the Chef's Counter. If Chef Alex is there, ask if he can put together a tasting menu for you. They don't normally do this, but if you ask nicely and they aren't too busy, they will take care of you. Get the wine pairing too, they have killer wines. This is a total foodie experience. Not cheap, but well worth it if you are a foodie. Probably about $300 for two all included. - Normstar  102.8 #3644 3:46PM

I must repeat what many have already said regarding plaza inn and cafe Orleans, as a semi-budget conscious choice. For those attempting to eat on an even slimmer dime, I have to give a shout out to tortilla joes in dtd. They have a nacho app that fed three of us for dinner for $11.95! Also, following a big lunch, my hubs and I love to get a turkey leg, pickle, and pineapple spear. Really weird combo, but I crave it all year long;) - LittleAprilShowers  587.7 #372 11:27AM

Depends on how much money I have lol. If I'm balling that day I like Napa Rose. Andrew Sutton and all the chefs there will make you a special veggie meal if there's nothing on the menu that you like-now that's service!! If I'm having a not so fancy day I like to eat at Royale Street (corn chowder) or wine country trattoria-also VERY vegetarian friendly. - missariel33  2115.6 #81 5:28PM

I don't understand why it was changed in the first place. The area was closed down and rebranded as Grizzly Peak Airfield to be more cohesive with the "California" theme of the park and then they change the ride from Soarin Over California; which is sticking pretty close to the theme of the park; to Soarin Over The World? It just doesn't make sense to me. I understand updating the video itself, which is what I wish they had done.  - 1HitchhikingGhost  292.9 #1022 7:03PM

Disneyland unFORECAST (BETA) is here! Top MouseWaiters giving you the rundown of what's happening at the Disneyland Resort. The unFORECAST now has its own page on the web www.unFORECAST.com

unFORECAST for the month of June 2016
Last month (May) seemed to be quieter than last year, probably because the 60th Celebration began last May, making last summer a lot busier. Looking back at MouseWait's Historical Crowd Index (available in our MagicPlan iOS Calendar), crowds averaged in the mid 80s (approx 85% capacity) for the first two weeks of June, then it quieted down in the last two weeks of the month. We are estimating smaller crowds than last summer because the 60th Celebration is over a year old, and there are still a lot of attractions being refurbished. To get a real-time look at crowd levels, check the MouseWait App for Crowd Index averages and wait times. Have a great week! - Admin Jun 3, 2016 12:07PM

We have always noticed that Saturdays are better than Sundays! We always come on the weekend and say we want to leave at dinner time on Sunday, but always leave by 11-12 because there are so many people. We love Saturday!! - 1Princess3Princes  643.7 #335 5:39PM
I agree. I think it has to do with most passes being blocked - PoohSizedGuy  20.6 #7584 11:53PM
Saturday's rule! One of the perks of a premium pass!  - snappy  451.5 #521 7:32AM
I love these posts!  I do have a question/request/suggestion...is there a way to only show the 3-4 most recent posts?  It's a lot to scroll through. @@Admin - TiggersAndTinks  183.5 #2290 5:08AM
I second this. The info is great to have, but it's too long.  - 1HitchhikingGhost  292.9 #1022 5:04PM
There was nobody there last week on Saturday loved it Hope it's the same this week  - jkobelski  21.3 #0 9:48PM
August 17 - It was still crowded yesterday, though it starts emptying out about 9 pm since some schools are in session and others are watching PTN. These are your last week's to watch PTN and the current WOC, and the 60th fireworks nightly show. Take advantage on a weeknight if you can. And on week nights, the jazz band plays several sets up until 10:15 pm on the Matk Twain and alternate with sets while cruising the ROA on a tom sawyers raft. We saw the band on the river at 10:40 Tuesday night. Market house is closed at night for coffee, the closest coffee after park hours is Starbucks DD/ WOD. or coffee bean in Haggen Dazs DD ย  ice cream ย store till midnight.ย  - secretagentangel  7930.3 #12 1:41PM
