The Rocket Rods track at Disneyland. The ride supplanted the PeopleMover but only lasted from 1998-2001.
(how come I don't remember this where was I ? Did I not care lol )

Rocket rods were actually pretty fun. Nothing beats the people mover but they were a good supplement - KissDclown

The wait for Rocket Rods was a pain, but I remember a large part of it was indoor (where Astro Blasters/gift shop is located now) and there were fun stuff to look at! - LisaKL

The lines were almost prohibitively too long. Started outside Buzz, snaked through the old CircleVision 360 queue and theater, down a service corridor, through an underground tunnel and up through the center support to the landing station. Many people were scared off. - PrinceCorey

The line was always long & it seemed to break down more often than other attractions. I was too upset that they took out the People Movers to ever wait in line. - VikkiMouse

@ princecorey. Soo true. I remember all of that so clearly! It was quite rediculous. I only got to go on it 3x before it got taken out. But i remember the line was always at least an hr& a half!! - iheartD15N3YLAND

It was fun I admit but a stupid choice to replace PeopleMover. Disney did not give them enough money to make the attraction to it's full potential. It was always breaking down with LONG lines. - goinghometime

It was short lived, broken down frequently and the line was always looonnngggg that's prob why you don't remember it. It was fun but it had to slow down before every turn because the turns weren't banked. I think the test track like ride they are making in cars land will be much more fun - TickledTink

TickledTink got the right of it. The track was never designed for a speed car. As soon as it got up any momentum, it had to slow for a curve. - PrinceCorey

Also, the tires on each car were changed every few days, because of the weird speeds it was going at. It cost Disney a lot of money to replace those tires every week. - BaseballMickey_CM
