So they're taking down the Golden Gate? I don't think I like that. - MissLiz
5.9 #9205 3:19PM
why don't they just do it vegas style and implode everything and build fresh? - Rob512
755.1 #134 3:21PM
That's what upset me was that there taking down the golden gate - mralexv
306.5 #577 3:21PM
Omnomnom, they should have pictures at the blue cellar? Sky cellar? In DCA it's the building eight next to the winery restaurant. - p8stryqueen
162.4 #2120 3:21PM
I have never been in there. I really want to go, maybe I will make some time next time I am in the park, but I am usually so busy with MWers that Iforget to go look. - OutNumberedMom
776.1 #125 3:22PM
I don't like it. Reminds too mich of the Hollywood park at WDW and I hated the park i want the california theme and letters back. Keep it the way it was!!! - Kittymeowmeow
271.3 #815 3:30PM
Aesthetically, I think it's fine. I just don't think it screams "California." - bluefairy
627.1 #174 3:32PM
first they take out my letters and now the golden gate! boo!
I don't like that but then I trust disney and im sure when I see the finished product im gonna like it. - vanessa3198
10.0 #6760 3:32PM
I wonder if they thought about changing the name also. Its really not going to be California Adventure anymore. - OutNumberedMom
776.1 #125 3:33PM
I think it's always weird to go through a change, especially when some of us liked the old CA. But we can't judge from concept art, we gotta wait and judge in person. And hey if you don't like it, at least we got to experience old CA. - CxD_CM
518.6 #224 3:33PM
Remember, don't judge a park by it's entrance. - BaseballMickey_CM
2838.0 #15 3:35PM
Ehh I'm still going to go with lame. It really looks like the WDW hollywood park and I'm telling ya that park was boring looking just had fun rides. Doesn't look like a park looks more like an outdoor mall. - Kittymeowmeow
271.3 #815 3:38PM
I know I've been to WDW twice and it may look like it but there not attempting the same look as eachother. It could look different actually walking in. - CxD_CM
518.6 #224 3:40PM
Also I think the theatre at the end will be a really cool icon to look down the street at. - CxD_CM
518.6 #224 3:42PM
I am failing to see much of a difference..... - KissDclown
1088.1 #77 3:44PM
I think it's admirable that they're changing it. DCA in it's current state doesn't compare to it's older siblings "magic" vibe, in my opinion & I'm excited to see the resort uphold the "ever evolving" mentality. - Joshuadraven
12.7 #6084 3:46PM
KissDclown, it's the architecture of the buildings and the lod ragtime jazz. Similar to what ToonTown has playing. 1920's style. It's going to be great!!! - OynnhoJ
92.5 #3113 3:46PM
That's why I said "it could look different actually walking in". I never said there is. When I saw this first thing I thought is Hollywood Studios but you never know what thr overall finish will look like. - CxD_CM
518.6 #224 3:47PM
I understand what there trying to do but it's CALIFORNIA Disney... - mralexv
306.5 #577 3:48PM
I kinda wish it wasn't a street thing again like it is in DL. I love the idea of the 1920 Los Angeles, but would have liked to see something more innovative - OutNumberedMom
776.1 #125 3:48PM
It still is a CALIFORNIA adventure. It's just an older version of California. The way the park was described when first brought up was an attempt to re-create what Walt first saw when arriving in California. - CxD_CM
518.6 #224 3:53PM
Understood and that's great but such icons like the golden gate should atleast be put somewhere in the park - mralexv
306.5 #577 4:01PM
Yea the golden gate should stay that's part of old history of California - Kittymeowmeow
271.3 #815 4:02PM
I love the changes! I don't get the people who are saying it's not California themed anymore. What do you call 1920s L.A./Hollywood, a tribute to the oceanside pier amusement parks that used to dot the coast, tributes to California's natural wonders and the desert/Route 66? Still seems like it will be pretty California themed to me. :o] - disney42dude(CM)

Love it. I was not alive so it would be nice to bring forth a modern version of the past. - GoofyJoe
1864.1 #41 4:04PM
Mybe it's the fact I live in NorCal that I see California as being less " Hollywood" - mralexv
306.5 #577 4:06PM
Look exactly like the WDW Hollywood Studios park entrance. - CantWait
1033.2 #84 4:10PM
Oh...I had it in my mind it would look much different. So basically it's just the facade and music that will be changed? Maybe I'm just bitter about the letters still - KissDclown
1088.1 #77 4:10PM
Hmm... It does look a little boring. Maybe it's just that picture. - Leesha
650.3 #163 11:15PM
What's the deal with the monorail track then?? - CrashIntoMe
53.4 #3687 11:31PM
Snore fest. Srsly not very exciting - Smart.tea
205.4 #1546 11:34PM
Being a greaser myself, I think the changes are a great throwback to the older side of california and Hollywood. It's a great change up from what I found as a kinda plain entrance. There was alot going on, but not at the same time. It seems like they're going to actually use all the space possible compared to having 30-40 feet of unused space just past the turnstiles. It's gonna be a great change in the end and look forward to it being finally complete - CaptnKid

I don't think it's going to work the way Disney hopes and that the Red Car will go the way of the Toontowm Trolley. But it can't be any worse than it is now. - BlueberryCrusader
650.7 #161 12:31AM
Jamiz I thought the exact same thing and actually brought it up to the cms in the Blue Cellar and mentioned how people got run over and and how it looked cool but it took up too much space and was a saftey hazard..They told me there will be little green fences about knee high around the trac so people cant get on or get in the way...my question was how are where are they going to have crossings at? They had no clue - Dave
8637.7 #2 12:44AM
A knee high fence. OMG I am going to bet I fall over that thing. I'm clueless to things that aren't at least waist level. I'm scared of lil.tea crawling not because of stuff on the ground or electrical outlets just me tripping over him - Smart.tea
205.4 #1546 12:48AM
It looks ok not as great as I thought it would be though. - NightmareKaren
277.6 #747 1:08AM
I am excited for the change. I've never really liked the whole DCA concept and didn't even set foot in it til 2006. I can drive to SF for fresh sourdough or go hiking in the redwoods for real, i live here. Recreating part of California that's no longer here and that inspired Walt? That's a bit more interesting. - Polkadobo
372.1 #371 1:18AM
So wait.......where is the monorail track....or I see it....... just plain goes over the park with no decor at all? Lame I liked the bridge decor - Ms.Mouseketeer
1000.8 #88 1:20AM
Oh*. Not or. Dumb autocorrect - Ms.Mouseketeer
1000.8 #88 1:21AM
Looks like Disney is just bored and needed to give the Imaginears something to do! Taking away the letters and the goldengate it just should be called The Other Park or Second Gate!!! Who is in charge of this redonkulous changes? - WaltSentMe
316.5 #538 1:53AM
They should rename it California's Hollywood 20's Adventure lol - mralexv
306.5 #577 6:02AM
I agree @mralexv. The golden gate and the letters say hey it's "California Adventure". I do however like that they are bringing the park together..yah know with the streets and trolleys, taking us through the experience Walt did when he arrived in Hollywood . That's something DCA was lacking. They had a great starting point but now the park is really taking shape. And with the addition to WOC..wheew - kayrassaCM
25.7 #4606 6:48AM
Yeah, and the bridge for the monorail looks like those ugly bridges that run over the aqueducts in east la. Boo - BuccanEAR
282.7 #712 6:51AM
It looks great more like Disneyland! I also liked California advintures!! People are way to hard at it!! - sallee
6.4 #8704 7:05AM
Don't get me wrong I LOVE DCA!! Last time I went I spend mire time there than DL.. I'll get used to the new look, might even like it - mralexv
306.5 #577 7:14AM
I'm excited for the new 20's Hollywood theme! I think it will be a major improvement to what has been there. Right now there is nothing amazing about the store fronts or the entry. I've loved the park over the years, but it seems a bit tacky, this new front will make it more fitting as a Disneyland main street feel. Ive just never been sold on the trolly. Im not sure there's enough room for it, need for it, and I think it will only cause more crowd congestion. But we'll see. - Sweet_Irish_Cream
2550.3 #22 7:38AM
I trust Disney imagineering to wow us all, they typically do. Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out. - Zooter
