The juju's. This was really fun to do in adventure land

Tagged in: TIPS
there is a cost of 30$ up front to get the map and info to find the juju. The first 2 juju cost $10, the eye of mara was free, the piranha was free, the pineapple cost $7 for the parfait...it was ok, the snake cost $7 for the snake venom juice which was good but sugary. The elephant was free, the parrot was free, the tiki mask cost $7.50 at the bar. Β Too sugary i tossed it into the trash. Maybe one could ask for a drink substitution. Make sure you open the last envelope to get the questions to answer because the answers are in adventureland not at the Trader sams all the way out at the dl hotel. Total cost was around $62 for these. It was fun to do and I really needed the diversion. The CMs were a lot of fun helping you out.Β  - Plumiegirl  10309.8 #8 3:01PM

DISNEYS RIDER SWITCH/PARENT SWAP AND SINGLE RIDER PROGRAMS, see the tips below

Tagged in: TIPS
Parents, visitors, come from all over the world and with minis all the time. The entire family can enjoy including infants any ride that does not have a height requirement. But what happens when you want to ride a that any of your minis cannot ride due to height or scarred and you have multiple parents/adults in your group. I’m sorry you will have to sit outside and talk with other people while your group goes in and enjoys the ride…sorry. Fear not Disney has a rider switch/parent swap program in place to accommodate this. First see a cm at the ride attraction and ask for the parent swap.  You will be issued a rider switch pass ( check the pass in most rides 2 people can go back but I have seen in some rides like btrr and splash where 3 can go back) or sometimes you are handed a red time card to exchange for a pass switch near the loading cm. Pay attention to where you are to return in some rides you return through the exit and in some you go to the fasspass line ask the cm.  Now while the rest of your party goes and ride , the adult watching the kids wait for their party members to return. Then you take your pass and Switch (based on the number of people allowed back could be 2 maybe 3 check your pass) and go though the designated return area and ride. Thank you Disney as this allows everyone to enjoy the ride without having to have an adult wait the entire wait time. Please note that you are not guaranteed immediate boarding. Another Program available is the single rider program. This is different and helps to fill open spots on certain rides and fill to capacity. The single rider program can open and close at any time and not available at all times if the ride time is short and or too many people are in line as well. If you decide to go as a group do not expect to ride in the same vehicle and will split and a single rider must meet height and age requirements to ride so don’t send your 5 yr by themselves. Ask for single rider and you may be issued a single rider pass or directed to go to a separate single rider entrance. Final word parent swap is at any ride with a height requirement . Single rider is limited to In DISNEYLAND- ( splash mnt , Indiana Jones and matterhorn) and in DCA – ( soaring over California, RSR, California Screaming, Goofys sky school and at grizzly river run although grizzy does limit the number of single riers throughout the day. Hope this helps in planning your trips. - pikarich  5794.5 #21 10:41AM

secretagentangel the person going through the first time is usually given the pass before actually  getting on the attraction & when the person who waited uses the pass they get to go through the fp line with the pass, not the regular line - UTDISNEYFAMILY  2002.4 #86 4:28AM
The person obtaining the pass has to actual wait in line. Then the person that uses the pass just uses the FP line. This also applies to the single rider line. When we were heading to the line at RSR, this woman wanted to go through pushing a stroller and get the pass for her husband. Her husband wasn't with her, and the CM told her he had to be there and that she couldn't bring the stroller through. She kept going on about how he was just in the store and she just wanted to get him the pass. I pushed past her and didn't hear the end of the conversation. - Lelundrial  687.7 #294 8:44AM
Bump and the only change was that you must all be present in front of the cm ,they will hand you a pass or red card that will be exchanged for an actual parent swap when your party about to board the ride cutting down on some abuses and ensure everyone wait the time posted - pikarich  5794.5 #21 7:08PM

Disneys Fasspass program, read below

Tagged in: TIPS
How to use Disney’s original Fasspass. Find the Fasspass distribution Center at select attractions. Insert your pass or ticket. Get a return time to return to the attraction. You must use it within the time frame , early or late will not be accommodated. The only time you can use your pass after the time frame is if the attraction is offline during your return time. You cannot hold more than one pass for the same attraction or another. Check you fp will let you see when you can get another pass usually within 2 hours or after you use your pass up whichever is sooner. RSR and world of color are not connected to the rest of the park so you can get additional passes at other locations. Fasspass is open for select times, dates and seasons. Fasspass work like this. Each ride can ride a certain capacity per hour example at full capacity lets say indy can ride 1,200 riders per hours –this is not the number ok, , so 1200 riders so say 10% of seats are reserved for fp so 120 seats are virtually held. When your ticket is issued a ticket you reserved one spot for that ride and keeps going until all passes are exchasted for the day, that is why as you look at the reserve board the time keeps moving up. And up unitl it reads-----, ------ meaning its all gone. I said original because we still use the original format in dl resort as newer versions of magic bands and fastpass + is in wdw although I personally like the version we have here. - pikarich  5794.5 #21 10:10AM
You can get one fast pass every two hours or the start time on your fast pass ticket, whichever is sooner. Always read all the info on the pass. If you're there in the morning and get a fast pass say for Indy. Return time is 9:30-10:30. The pass says next fast pass is available after 9:30am. I would go at 9:30, grab a fast pass for another attraction and then come back and ride Indy. Fast pass distribution is halted when the attraction is down since CMs don't know how long the attraction will be be closed. Distribution resumes with the opening of the attraction as long as there are fast passes left. The amount of fast passes available also depend on the ride capacity during the day (number of vehicles, etc).  - IDVandalSkipperCM  2531.0 #59 11:35AM

I've got a few... 1) Our Target usually has the Smart Water bottles they sell in the parks for $1. I buy at least 3 for each day we will be there and freeze them. That way they stay cold all day. I carry one and put the others in the backpack. 2) The picnic area lockers! These lockers are bigger than the ones inside the parks and the esplanade and you don't have to take the stuff through bag check. You could fit a small ice chest in one of the large lockers and keep cool items. We once mixed up some tuna and kept that, bread (well, we forgot the bread which resulted in some creativity lol), snacks like Cheezits, etc. Then you can keep all your meals in there and the patio is usually pretty empty. PLUS you're still on property!!! 3) I got this one from MW. If you have a Target Red Card, purchase Disney gift cards with it when you can. You'll get 5% off (plus whatever you get on your AP) 4) I have several apps on my phone that I use to build up rewards. I then redeem those rewards for Starbucks gift cards that can be used in all the park locations. We've gotten a whole meal for free with this! The sandwiches they have at the DCA location are yummy! Here are my regular apps: Viggle (check in on tv), Shopkick (scan items on your phone when shopping), Mom uses Mango Health (check in when you take your daily medications, including vitamins!). I'm sure there's plenty more, but they're SUPER easy!!!Β  - SPandEvLover  4709.7 #29 3:28PM

Definitely utilize Costco. People have this impression that I have all this $$ to come to Disneyland everyday and that couldn't be further from the truth. I SAVE money by being here. I bring my own drinks & snacks like Triscuits, trail mix, apples and other tough fruits that can withstand the backpack; also Cliff & other snack bars. It saves a ton of money & energy.  - apesandmonkeys  6523.5 #18 1:37PM

Great tips thanks for posting this!  I think everything I was going to say was covered. Oh maybe one thing along with using Costco. If you're going to eat at restaurants then get the discounted gift cards to the restaurant of your choice there. They have $100 gift cards for $74.95. - AriellesMom  91.8 #3774 10:23AM
GREAT tip, thank you! We have our trip next week and I was thinking about doing the Target thing, but this is a WAY better deal. We'll be going to Costco this week! - disneymomma87  216.5 #1812 11:15AM
Frozen water bottles, jerkey, pop tarts and Pringles are always in our backpack. If we really are trying to save money, we walk to McDonald's for lunch. - FoolishMortal138  410.4 #554 11:20AM

On a hot day, these vents in NOS emit lots of cool air, which is a welcomed relief. 😎

It's the air coming from Pirates ride! 😊 - BellesLibrary  412.0 #550 12:37AM
Great tip!  - poohbearandyy  65.5 #4355 1:10AM
The air vents aren't from Pirates, but something much closer to the vent locations. Β Look around and you'll figure it out, especially during Fantasmic. The main door you go in to where the parrot is is as far out toward the river as Pirate's goes and there is nothing under ground there. - CM_Shadowgamer  2563.2 #57 2:46AM
