down 11lbs, our next visit will be the first week in Oct and I'm shooting for 30lbs. I'm going slow and steady and not rushing. Our weekend in April was a huge eye opener on how out of shape i am so I'm very excited about Oct! Not only because we'll be at Disneyland staying at the Grand but to see how my physical fitness has improved!!

Super rough day. I'm so mad at myself for gaining back the weight. I've never felt so fat in my life. I know I'm not in a lot of people's eyes, but the extra 20 lbs really shows to me. Bad day 😩

Happy New Year everyone! I'm back on the low carb "lifestyle" (my son says that I shouldn't call it a "diet"). I finally got up the nerve to weigh, and just like I thought, I gained 15 lbs since I lost my job (20 total). No more See's candy and pizza! I'm actually feeling so much better! Here's to staying on plan this year!

I've been slowly working on working out. We were just at the parks for a day(and night) and i know exactly what i need to work on! I need to lose 30lbs before my gyno will do my ablation . So this is my first post of many about my journey. I'm not sure if this is the right setting but this is such a wonderful app that i feel comfortable starting here.

Hi there! @@varela2892 so nice to see someone post in here!  You will do great: I'm no expert but I've found it helps to take things in stages: ex: just focus on getting enough water each day for a few days, then add in additional fruits/veggies, then work on adding small bits of exercise, etc.  I need to get going on losing a bit, too, but I'm just trying not to gain right now, and I'll kick it into high gear once Christmas is over, lol.  Hopefully @msdizmaui will see this and chime in, too 😊 It's been awhile since we've had any chub33 activity!  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  708.3 #330 3:56PM

No hidden blame...it's been all me enjoying eating (together with a small "pity party" attitude about being out of work and figuring who's going to see me anyway). Now that I'm headed back to work it's time to get my act together. I won't say that I'll be giving it 100% since it's the holidays, but definitely after Christmas I'm going all in!  My son has lost over 40 lbs following ME in a low carb diet. I've had a lot of trouble with platinum version. It seems to "magically" close itself at random times. The most common random closes are: after updating ride or food times, after clicking on a different feature in the app, or immediately after opening. Looks like a plastic wristwatch. There are different models so you need to research what would work best for you. Syncs with smartphones. Tracks your steps,  floors climbed, sleep, calories and calories burned automatically. The app allows you to also track food, exercise, and weight. i was doing so good on eating healthy and getting my 10,000 steps in but the last month i've done nothing. I am very down in the dumps. I took a walk today and felt better but could only walk half of what i had been. starting today i have to get off my butt and keep walking. We've got 60 days till or next visit and i refuse to not be ready for it!!!!

Sometimes it soooo hard, isn't it?  Work, and life, and, ugh...I think we all can relate.  Some days it's a huge victory for me just to walk around the block!  Remember: it's all about taking it one step at a time.  Even something as huge as a marathon is run when a person simply just continues to put one foot in front of the other--you got this! βœ¨πŸ‘πŸΌβœ¨ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  708.3 #330 5:30PM

Great job with the scale!  And weight training is so important to our bone health. Weights and resistance training are the only way to maintain or increase bone density. Help! I'm having issues with one of my sons and its making me sad and all I want to do is eat. I'm so mad at myself. I worked so hard to lose the weight (and vacation is in August). Why do I let emotions control me (and why do cookies make it all better). Sorry...needed to vent.

It's so easy to stuff our faces when we're sad, mad, frustrated. I do the same thing. Try praying, exercising, or talking to a friend. It helps me. Also, tell yourself you have to drink 8 oz of water before you can snack. You may become so waterlogged, you eat less. Hang in there. They do grow up. Really! - disneyforme  1067.8 #211 9:40AM

I have Fitbit Charge and I charge it every five days or so. Charges completely in one hour. I usually take it off and charge it in the morning before getting into the shower. Have you ever heard of the book French Women Don't Get Fat?  It came out about 10 years ago.  I bought it on a whim, and read through it, I still pick it up from time to time. What she had to say about food and activity really made a lot of sense to me.  It actually helped me change the way I look at food and health.  We live in a society that sends such mixed and strange messages about food, nutrition, and our health.  On one hand, there's so much excess, on the other there's so much dieting and restriction...it's no wonder we struggle to maneuver through all that!  I recommend having a look. πŸ’– good luck with your new journey! 😘🌺✨ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  708.3 #330 8:46AM
