Hi everyone! I've been doing a lot more of my own cooking recently, and I was just wondering, do you have any favorite "Disney snacks/meals" that remind you of things from the parks that you are able to make at home? (And maybe tweak to make them at least slightly more healthy, haha πŸ˜‚) What are your suggestions? οΏΌοΏΌ

Good question!  The only healthy thing I eat in DL is bananas from the fresh fruit carts in TL, Main Street, and NOS. I can't wait to see what people post... Any low fat Funnel Cake recipes out there?! - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 4:36PM

9.3 in parks today : 21896 steps- looking easy access for the circuit updated list- I want complete this Thursday anyone going??

I don't know what this circuit list is.  - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 1:19PM
I found the info on the Walking Circuit!  Go to the "Resources" button. Then go to "Chub33" and scroll down. Note: It says to enter Wait Times along the way based on the sign, CM, or your own estimate. Those are no longer acceptable Wait Times because they aren't accurate. But you can still do the walk and have fun!  DL is about 1.5 miles and DCA is about 1.3. Happy Walking!!! - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 10:47AM
I walked it on Thursday and found the entry be slow processing I have sprint and it takes like 3 minutes just add 1 wait time, I walk all of bug land in less and 1 minutes I wish it was faster like gas buddy - ardisney  8.8 #12182 5:06PM

Hi everyone! So good to see everyone posting in here again! πŸ˜ƒ Just wondering, what is your favorite way to get exercise, and why? I like to walk my dog because it's fun to see the world through his eyes--he sniffs everything and that reminds me to stop and smell the flowers more often πŸŒΊπŸŒΎπŸƒπŸΎ

I live in the boonies, so I live to roam around cross country. Lots of climbing. Never know what kind of animal I'll see  - disneyforme  241.4 #1493 9:04PM
I love being outside, too.  We used to live in a rural area and we'd see bunnies and critters on our hikes.  Saw a bobcat once, and that scared me, haha!   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  621.3 #338 6:55AM
I like to walk around the neighborhood with a good friend of mine.  We chat the whole time and it goes by so quickly.  My second favorite is to walk on the treadmill at home with my iPad and watch something on Hulu or Netflix.  - Mickeylover67  543.9 #391 10:01PM

i hate to sweat!!! Love swimming and gardening(even though it's not exercise) - mmddgp  1055.1 #7 8:14PM
Both ARE exercise!  Gardening requires squats, core strength, and working your arms and shoulders. And swimming is the best exercise around because it works EVERY muscle in your body all at once!  And of course swimming gets your heart pumping at any speed. Plus, you're right, you don't even notice you're sweating πŸ˜‰ - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 8:54PM
I agree that both are exercise!  Gardening is hard work, and it's partly why our ancestors didn't need to lift weights or run on treadmills! πŸ˜‚    - Spoonful_O_Sugar  621.3 #338 8:25AM

You're hysterical!  I've never even tried the elliptical at the gym. It looks too intimidating!!!  I wish all the cardio equip came with its own fan! - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 8:55PM
Haha, that counts, in my view!   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  621.3 #338 8:23AM
When I first got mine, quit a few years ago, the instructions said to do a half hour to start! Really?! I didn't even make 3 min.!!  I did eventually get up to 15 min but that was it - mmddgp  1055.1 #7 7:51PM

So, curious... What motivates each of you to lose weight?

In addition to wanting to be healthy, my lifetime motivation  is to be able to travel until I die. That includes carrying my own luggage up and down the stairs at home, placing it overhead in overhead bins, and dragging it around Europe (someday, Europe!). I want to go on cruise shore excursions without worrying about how strenuous the activity is or what the weight limit.  And I want to look good in all those photos! - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 9:16PM
Looking better and feeling better! - msdizmaui  743.5 #266 1:09AM
Both are great motivators!  And even when you're just starting out you can feel a difference in the way your body feels. And those good endorphins definitely show in your face and attitude! - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 11:44AM
Love this question!  For me, it used to be about looks but now it's more about quality of life and being there for my family πŸ˜ƒ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  621.3 #338 8:22AM
I agree. As I get older, I realize more and more how important exercise and heathy eating are.  - disneyforme  241.4 #1493 9:59AM
So important!  We want the best quality time we can get with our children and someday their children. I want to take my grandkids to DL and not have to struggle getting in and out of rides or walking all day.  - Ilovegoofy  33.3 #5806 11:47AM
What motivates me to want to is the joys of my life,( hubby, kids and grand kids) I wish I wouldn't allow the stress in my life to get in the way!  - mmddgp  1055.1 #7 7:47PM
