Yesterday I had an interview and hadn't thought out the outfit. My old black "work" pants swam on me, so today I went through the "bag of many sizes" and redid my closet. I was exhausted after trying on everything (counts as exercise, right?)

I've been trying to get more running in since the Disneyland half marathon is coming up pretty quickly.
I've actually been getting up at 5:15am twice a week to go run because it's way too hot when I get home from work.
Over the holiday weekend we were at the beach but I still managed a 4 mile walk, a 6 mike run and two 10 mile bike rides.
I'm going to try again this year to do the early morning walk around DCA. I read that you should be able to do a 15 min mile. Since my dog is old (and sniffs EVERY single plant) we usually do a 45 min mile. Well...he's in the kennel (because I'm headed to San Diego for 3 days to see Mom) so I decided to see how fast I can do the mile. The results...13 min for the 1st, and 1 More...
I've had a very bad few weeks emotionally, gained 3.5 pounds last week, and have had a hard time getting things together. I didn't weigh in yet, but I did measure myself. I need a pep talk! I've totally blown the diet for the past week! I really thought I had the mental part of this down, and I'm not sure what happened..I just woke up one morning and didn't feel like it. I used to weigh only once a week. Then I thought that if I weigh daily, it might keep me on track better. WRONG. I did everything to plan yesterday (including exercise) and gained 1/2 lb! I can't help that I'm a numbers person. I'm going back to once a week so I don't freak out on a daily basis! How often does everyone else weigh?
Friends! Meet my new puppy. He doesn't have a name yet. He is a smooth coat mini dachshund. He comes home on July 16th. I'm so excited.

Friends, it's been an awful week. On Friday my dog died. He was killed in a dog attack. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I loved him so much. I'm so sad. I haven't been on a ride since he died. He always went with me.
📣Hello out there! Lol, it's like a ghost town in here, and I don't really have anything of particular quality to add, but I thought I'd start a new thread. 😂 How is everyone? I'm just plodding along, doing Pilates, kettlebells and running. It's a great workout combo for me. I'm probably eating a little too much (as per usual) but life is good!
