Okay, remember when I said the scale wasn't budging since I started training for my race??? Um...well, now it has budged a bit since my vacation.....but in the WRONG direction! I gained 5 lbs! Yikes! Okay, time to get back on track and get this under control! Ugh.
Happy (almost) Thanksgiving everyone! I think I've pretty much tossed in the towel for this year. I'm still having issues at work (when will it just be a "job"), and I'm continually stressed and sad over my mom's situation. New Year, New Attitude (hopefully) New Jan in 2014!
Wishing my Chub33 friends a Happy Thanksgiving! Got home from work at 3am this morning, yikes! Got up and helped to deliver a nice turkey meal to my father at the hospital. I think he enjoyed! Hope you all have a great day!
Happy Thanksgiving! I was going to wait until the new year to start back on a diet, but then I was walking the dog and thinking of how much I'll prolly gain in December with that attitude! So...I'll use up my month of Yoli in December and then I think it's back to JC in January! Happy eating to us all today!
So, I've lost a few pounds because I've been careful with my diet and I've been good about getting my training runs in. I'd like to (kinda, at least) stay in control during the holidays--I'm ok with not losing, but I don't want to gain. I know most of you are of a similar mindset and I thought maybe we could help each other out. Would anyone be interested in participating in an accountability t More...
I had a pretty good routine down to go jogging everyday with my baby in the stroller, but it's not working out so well with the colder weather. How do you get your workout in during the winter? Trying to decide if joining a gym is the best option.... Just found out a friend will be joining me in running the 2015 Tinkerbell Half! Since I've got awhile to train, I really want to try and add the 10k More...
One more week and we get to go to Disneyland on a week-long vacation!!!! YAHOO!!! I don't know when I have needed a vacation so badly! It will be interesting keeping up on my training while I am there......but I am determined to do it. Any suggestions where to run near the park?

Hi, all! Just checking in. Still snacking too much. Trying to get on track today. I have been working out but not as much as I should. This has been a tough year. Trying hard to just count my blessings and be strong for my daughter and Mom. Father is still in Hospital. I'm still constantly on the go but I'm trying to not let work be affected. Feel like I'm failing though cause I really just feel s More...
So the scale is still not budging at all. But I did get in 9 miles yesterday, so my training is going well and on track for the WDW Half in January. I also made my TNT fundraising goal (which is a huge relief!). So I'm just going to keep focusing on my training and worry about the scale More...

Your posts could be featured on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ and seen by our 100,000+ strong social media audience!
This feature is best used for instructional posts, history posts (like Duchess_SMK's column), and for reporting news (i.e. BaseballMickey_CM's posts). You could also do this to create a post describing your recent visit to the Parks with multiple pictures, videos, and more--think of it like an article that would appear in a magazine. The Advanced Composer only works on the web version. Mr. Disney was one of five children, four boys and a girl. He was the fourth born Disney son. He was named after his parents pastor and friend Walter Parr, a preacher at St. Paul Congregational Church. The pastor, in turn, will later name his son Elias, after Walt's father.
Most of Walt's childhood was spent on a farm in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1911, the family moved to Kansas City, where his love for trains really developed. His Uncle, Mike Martin, was a train Engineer who worked on the route between Fort Madison, Iowa, and Marceline. Walt would later work a summer job with the railroad, selling newspapers and snacks to the travelers. To read more about Walts love for trains

To watch a short biography of Walts life:
Walt and Lillian Disney with unnamed friend, London, 1935.
Walt Disney in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the American dream! He represents: imagination, optimism, creation, and self-made success in the American tradition. He brought us closer to the future, while telling us of the past, it is certain, Walt Disney was a great man! He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world! Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon characters we all love to watch today. :) He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of the magical playgrounds that ties us all together, Disneyland and Disney World. Had he been alive today he would be 112 years old! Happy birthday Walt! Thank you so much for believing in your dreams! You are a true inspiration.
In honor of today, it would be fun if we all mentioned our favorite quote from Mr. Disney. I'll go first, I have many, but this one always sticks out:
"I've always been interested in the past and history and I think it's vital."
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a terrific Thursday!
