Sorry I have not been around much guys:( I am going through a rough spot on my weight lose adventure and work out routine. About 5 weeks ago my Dr wanted to start me on Lexapro ( to help with my anxiety and he thinks I have mild depression pssshhhh what does he know lol) anyways so I have been on it for a few weeks now and am dealing with so many side effects. I am having horrid hot flashes, I am sweating so much, I have tried to run but am like over heating. Food wise - I stopped weight watchers. I am just not into it my heart isnt right now and I thought I was making better choices still but at the Dr. today saw that I have gained 6 lbs. He said I could possibly gain due to the medication and well duh I know why I CANT STOP EATTING. My brain like no longer sends out the signal of hey you are full! So before I know it... when I attempt to eat my one healthy bowl of cereal I have devoured 4! I dunno I am feel down, chunky, and dont want to just pick myself up and jump back up on the wagon. I went to the Dr today to discuss trying another medication he told me to give this one a few more weeks to see if i level out. He things my bodies chemicals are just adjusting I DUNNO IM GRUMPY RAWR :) Okay love you all!
Aw, man, I'm sorry, Boo. I've never been put on anything for depression, but I've battled controlling my emotions. I tried several bc pills and they ALL made me feel horrible. I finally chose a nonhormonal method and feel so much better. Sometimes, meds just make everything worse, and the solution is to switch to a new drug or even stop messing with your body's chemistry. But it's something that only you and your doc can figure out. As you go through this journey, remember that YOU ARE in control of your emotions and your body. Only you know how you feel. If you don't feel better, ask for alternatives. You DON'T have to feel this way: YOU CAN control it. If you really feel like something is wrong in your body, go back and talk to your doc sooner, rather than in a few weeks' time. And in the meanwhile, know that we are all cheering for ya! ✨👏✨ - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Sorry to hear you having a tuff time Boo! Remind yourself it's just a phase and you will get past this. I don't know about depression but I can relate to anxiety.. Lets just say I don't like it! :) Stay strong and I hope your feeling better soon!! Just FYI I think your design for the reunion is great!!! I need to buy a T-shirt. - Dlandrunner5

((Hug)) Sounds like you're having a rough time and that this med is just not for you. While I know it does take 6-8 weeks to "normalize" in the body, make sure to make a list of all the side effects and take them to your doctor especially if the side effects are getting worse or not subsiding. I hope things get better for you 😊 - PirateQueenBriezy

Sending lots of hugs Boo! Maybe take things down a notch...walking or yoga or whatever else is a bit lower in intensity. I stopped ww recently too. I've been focusing on filling foods like veggies & protein & healthy fats. I know even with all this the meds may undo your work so just aim to feel well, not to lose weight. I'll be thinking of ya! - supertracy

Anybody have the Xbox 360? My boy left his when he went into the Navy. I set it up today, and am thinking about getting a fitness game. Just wondering if anybody has tried any of the games and can give a recommendation. I seen where the Wii is in use, but why spend money when I have something available.
I don't have a Xbox anymore, but I know people who use the fitness games and they say its really good & fun.. - Dlandrunner5

I'm not sure if they have it for the X-Box, but I love Zumba and the Just Dance games on the Wii. If those games are also offered for the X-Box, I definitely recommend them! - PirateQueenBriezy

Do you have the Kinect w/ the Xbox? If so, there is a game called "Your Fitness 2012" that is awesome. Also, there is a Zumba game for the Kinect. I personally enjoy "Just Dance" on the Wii and Also "Dance Central" on the Kinect. - Jewelz

Hey everyone! This is my first time posting in here. I really need to get my butt in gear. I am ready for it mentally, need to catch up physically. My goal is to get into shape and lose 25-30 pounds. I've started doing bike rides 2-3 times a week and walking/jogging (short intervals) 1-2 times a week. I just signed up for my first 5k, just so happens to be the Color Run. Seems like a good one to start with. I am hoping participating in Chub33 will keep me motivated and on track :)
Welcome ✨✨✨sounds like you are off to a great start.. Feel free to jump into the marathon challenge and if you like tommorow is weigh in Wednesday !..we can do it!! - Twinklelashes

I've searched and searched but have not been able to find more info on the chub33 circuit. Is there anything more to it than hitting every wait time at both parks as quickly as you can? I willbr in the parks this weds-Saturday and need I keep the exercise up and the weight gain to minimum! Hoping to accomplish this by doing the circuit at least once!
Hi and welcome✨✨✨ if you click on resources and scroll down to chubb33 weight loss prince Corey posted the circuit in there!.. Have a wonderful time at Disneyland! - Twinklelashes

Marathon Mondays! A marathon seems like so much work, but it’s easy if you take it in small steps! You will make a goal for yourself, then you will need to track your jog/walk/elliptical mileage each week (track Tuesday-Monday or Sunday-Saturday, if it's easier), and post the previous week's mileage on Mondays. Posting days will be the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of May. Some of us are currently on cardio training programs, but you can tailor this challenge to your own needs: whatever fitness level you are, just make a marathon-related goal for yourself (examples: walk one marathon; walk/jog 2 marathons; jog a marathon; or walk a marathon and jog a half marathon). Try to choose a goal that will challenge you, but won’t overwhelm you. I think that the easiest and least complicated way to do this will be to first comment with your goal this week, and then each Monday, reply with your previous week’s mileage. (I’ll make an example post so that this makes sense!). Good luck everyone--whether you're getting geared up for DL Half Marathon training or general fitness, this will help get you ready for summer!
*Example*: My goal will be to run/walk two marathons (roughly 55 miles total) this month. - Spoonful_O_Sugar

Super late posting, but I was -6.5 in 1.5 weeks last week! I was doing really well tracking and doing level 2 of the 30 day shred at least once a day. This week I've done ok, but not as well due to state testing stress eating/less exercise. Next week: Disneyland! - Smackerel

This might be an odd question, but I'd like to get feedback from people who I know care about what goes in their bodies. Does anyone have any experience with homeopathic or all-natural allergy relief? I have terrible hay fever this year, and on a few days, it's been really hard to exercise and go to work. Claritin makes me extremely anxious and Benedryl and Zyrtec put me to sleep, lol. Allegra did absolutely nothing to help this year. I am at my wits end! Any feedback would help! I know that asking for medical advice online isn't the best idea--I'm just looking to hear about people's experiences, if anyone has any. Thanks! 😊
I use NeilMed Sinus Rince every morning and it helps SO much. It takes some getting used to but if you use it consistantly you will see (feel) the difference. you can get it at WalMart or any drug store.

My kids pediatrician recommended local honey as well, seemed to have worked for them this year. I was also told that each year you have to use a different allergy medicine (zyrtec, allegra etc) or they don't work, I haven't experienced trying this but the person who told me says it's true. - disneymommy0910

Okay fellow Chubbers I am getting back on the WL wagon. It's been over a year since exercising. Today I went to yoga and it was not your typical stretching class, she had us sweating, doing crunches etc.! But afterward I felt so nauseous - just proved to me how toxic I've gotten from lack of exercise and that sweating is essential to good health.
HI DM and Twinkle! I'm trying to get motivated again too (haven't been on my eliptical since I went back to work!). I was huffing and puffing running with the doggy tonight...no bueno! - msdizmaui

Here I am!!! There's only one Disney Store left in Hawaii and it's in on Oahu (Ala Moana Shopping Center near Waikiki). I managed the Disney Store when it closed in 2003. BofA was here for a while several years ago, but it was a "Savings Bank" (they had purchased a local S&L to get into the State) and you still couldn't transact on your mainland account. They didn't last very long. Hawaii is a hard state to do business in. How long are you going to be here? - msdizmaui
