Can someone help me out with the WOC picnic lunchs? I looked on the food section but it only shows me the Ariels Grotto & Wine Country. How much is it & what are the seating sections for WOC? TIA!

My kiddos were surprised the picnic lunches were cold and did not like them. They were ok but we won't get those again. - CantWait  1033.2 #84 2:52PM
The picnic lunches I mean not the kids. - CantWait  1033.2 #84 2:53PM
My wife and I, for our anniversary this year, did the Trattoria plan for WOC and were very disappointed. First, the menu is truncated, you don't have the full menu, only select offerings. Then, when we got our WOC tickets we were told not to worry about getting in line, we had reserved seats, also the ticket said not to get there before 8:00 pm, no early admittance would be allowed. We got there at 8pm, on the nose, and the WOC premium section was almost full, and no seats. It was standing room only, like everywhere else. I am 5'6" and my wife is 5'4", and we were in the very back and couldn't see the show at all. We were very disappointed. A friend pointed out the only up side was that we didn't have to deal with the morning fast pass rush, nor the randomization of the sections. The premium viewing is in a static location. But, we were still very upset, and did not feel that we had gotten anything near the monetary value. Hopefully things have/will change on this front, but for now, we are going to be spending the money on the Fantasmic! viewing instead. - DSMonson_CM  320.0 #521 2:57PM
My kids liked the chicken, yea it was cold, I did not buy the kids lunches, bought the adult ones. The food was ok, and you do get a lot. - Itsallabouteeyore  30.6 #4342 2:58PM
Agree with DSM on the seating. I actually had to put my son on my shoulders so he could see anything. I am 5'4" 114 lbs my son is 5 and weighs 48 pounds. Made me very uncomfortable but he saw the show my 17 year old saw bits and pieces I really didn't see any of it, the music was good. - Itsallabouteeyore  30.6 #4342 3:01PM
Thanks. The link isn't working though. We have a bunch of us going in a few weeks & would like to see the show, the lunches seem like a good idea but I don't want to get crappy viewing. - DsnyVamp  36.6 #4112 3:07PM
@DsnyVamp I'm sorry if I put any kind of damper on your plans, just wanted to share the info/experience that I had. Hopefully things work out better for you and your family. I recommend getting a line with the others when it starts forming, and doing your best to get near the front of the viewing area. Good luck, and have a blast! On the upside, after all the disappointment my wife and I had, we went over to DL, got coffee, souvenir "Celebrating Romance" mugs, and watched "Fantasmic!", instantly turned our day around! :-) - DSMonson_CM  320.0 #521 3:13PM
What you are really paying for is the WOC ticket. AP price is not bad. Good if you have friends who have not seen WOC. - CantWait  1033.2 #84 3:42PM
I agree with CantWait on this, I just wish the information was a bit more accurate, so that my expectations weren't wrong. I was bing told and picturing something more like the VIP Seating for "Fantasmic!". As my wife and I said to one another, had the information been more accurate, so we knew what to expect, it would not have been bad. It is nice to not have to worry about the Fast Pass system in the morning, nor the randomization of the the Color Sections. Again, I hope I didn't sound too negative on the whole thing, just wanted to make sure no one's expectations were skewed like mine were. :-) - DSMonson_CM  320.0 #521 3:48PM
@DSMonson, no worries. I would have felt the same way in your shoes. I just don't want to shell out $300 for dinner for all of us to see WOC. But I also don't want to get sucky seating if we have to brave the fastpass distribution. - DsnyVamp  36.6 #4112 5:00PM
There actually isn't any "real" seating. It's standing room only, unless you're disabled, they will try to find you seating in your color area on a bench - CMsMom  445.2 #276 5:10PM
The color distribution is not random, it's sequential. Blue, yellow then red. On nights with more then one show if red is being distributed you can wait/come back to get blue for the next show. Our current MW WOC tips should really be updated since a lot of things have changed since it first opened. - Coaster  9139.5 #1 6:19PM

We are going to Ariels Grotto WOC for my daughters bday. We love Ariels Grotto and I'm hoping my daughter has a great experience at WOC - tigntink  179.3 #1875 6:51AM
I thought the picnic meals were bland. The blue cheese chunk in the Antipasto one made everything taste like blue cheese..ick! But if you do see it I was given a great tip by a CM and that is to get your spot on steps or against a railing...we found our spot near the railing and there were no tall people to block the view for me and the kids. I think they should go with sandwiches of some sort...next time if we decide to buy them again I would go for the kids meals...I mean how can you go wrong with a smuckers uncrustable pb&j? - yellowtonka  237.7 #1136 7:29AM
