Hey guys. I'm debating taking a brief late-night trip to DL to get some Christmas shopping done before I head home from college. I'm planning on bringing my camera to possibly do some night-time photography but for my camera that's practically useless without my tripod
So I was wondering what the tripod policy is. My tripod folds to about 2.5 feet (maybe).
I'd hate to go through the hassle of bringing my tripod only to have to bring it back to the car.
Any input is welcome. Thanks
My husband brings his tripod in every visit. It fits under the stroller and sticks out a slight bit. It's around the same size as yours. They never say anything to us, I figure you're good to go. - lockshockbarrel

Yeah DSLR tripod. No clue how heavy it is. It's not that heavy, plus I have a bag with a shoulder strap for it.
It's not a super intense, nice tripod... Pretty basic. - Awesome

Only problem is that I dont have a stroller or large backpack to put it in. So I'll have m tripod bag and my camera bag over my shoulder. Don't want to get stopped for looking like a "professional" photographer or something. - Awesome

Wow it's amazing how quickly stuff flies down this page. Can anyone else confirm that I should be ok with my camera+tripod bag situation? - Awesome

No sorry meant the camera? I have a couple of ideas but it's depends on how heavy your camera is. I'm leaving my big tripod @ home but if your camera is light enough mini tripods are great with a raised flat surface. The problem is field of view from lower surfaces crowds etc. - Wizard

Oh it's Canon Rebel XSi. It's really light, especially for a DSLR.
I'm hopefully getting a gorilla pod for Christmas, but that doesnt solve my current issue of whether or not my regular tripod would make it past the bag-checkers. - Awesome

Ek! I wish I could help, but I just know that you can't bring professional equipment there... but I've seen ppl with tripods too so I don't know. - LisaKL
