Plastic cover for the stroller is a great idea! - Admin
10:57AM
This was a great post from MingyMouse: Ponchos- @DL $6.50. @Target and Walmart $1.47. @cvs pharmacy or rite aid $2.99. Hope that gives you a few options for the stores near you. On a side note, the DL ponchos are thicker (like a shower curtain) and it says DL on it. The cheap store ponchos are thinner, like trash bags. Hope that helps! - MingyMouse - Admin

I bring a rainsuit, stay dry and comfortable on all rides - JimW

If you snowboard or Wear your pants and jacket. To cover the stroller,We brought clear plastic painting tarps.. Cut the piece long enough to go from your handles to the floor in front of the stroller. Open the tarp and tie it to the handles... Its super cheap and we had enough tarping to hand out when we saw others struggling with wet strollers... INSTANT HEROS!! - Calypso

The grand lobby has a huge fireplace both inside and out in the patio in back in case you are drippIng wet. - Plumiegirl
3322.0 #10 11:09AM
Bring some extra clothes/shoes and put them in a locker for a dry ride home. For those with glasses, wear a solid bimmed hat (baseball cap) under the poncho hood. Tuck it down a bit and it helps with the drops of rain! - Gia
782.1 #119 9:42AM
Remember to smile and have fun, even if you get wet or uncomfortable you are still at Disneyland! One time on Holiday IASW our entire boat got DRENCHED as we waited to unload and everyone started yelling "The magic is GONE!" and "Help!!! I'm drowning!!!" but we were all cracking up. We didn't even know each other! I will always remember that. - LaneSparrow316
846.9 #107 9:57AM
Yes I agree, please don't bring an umbrella unless you are 6'8" or taller. Water proof shoes or boots, water repellent outerwear, and keep your kids from jumping in puddles when next to me, or others. Ponchos are great but don't shake them out when you get indoors, Bring a Sham wow to dry up the seats unless you want a wet butt. Coffee on Main Street for refills. Keep popcorn and cotton candy covered. - splashphotoCM
880.9 #100 10:00AM
Take a ziplock freezer bag to put your camera in if you don't have a water proof case :-) - Sam241

Try not to bring a stroller.....it'll get soaked!! - Disneyjen
29.6 #4379 10:52AM
Bring rainboots or weather proof shoes, if need to bring stroller bring the plastic cover for it. Don't carry to many things just the necessary! - Dani77
123.5 #2671 10:54AM
I'm going to be the one that says umbrellas are the worst idea. Have good rain coat that covers your bum. Poncho would be next. Umbrellas are a nuisance to have to deal. Plus I've already been twice with them today. - Theadtraylor
44.9 #3852 11:00AM
Getting poked with someone elses umbrella doesn't scream magical to me!! I totally agree with rainboots jacket and poncho!! Also a beanie helps and if it has a bill it keeps rain out of ur eyes! - LizardBreath
2.8 #36093 11:10AM
If you must bring a stroller buy a $5 vinyl adult poncho to cover it when it's parked. Umbrellas are a pain. - Djoasis
94.1 #3094 11:11AM
Or buy them SNUGGIES!! - LaceySue
328.8 #476 11:21AM
This thought applies also to if you plan on riding water rides. Pack a spare change of clothes and leave in the car. Bring maybe 2 extra pairs of socks. If you get soaked you will get cold. Changing into dry clothes after a few hours helps.
Also, take some time and relax in a hotel lobby to warm up. It's cheaper than coffee or hot chocolate. - Theadtraylor
44.9 #3852 12:57PM
Aaw thanks for reposting my post, Admin! I feel loved. =) - MingyMouse
35.5 #4142 2:41PM
Try not to wear cotton sweatshirts, jackets, hoodies, etc... They just get wet and stay wet. Wear a long jacket where the rain can't soak through.
Pants: if you have running pants, perfect.
Shoes: anything that will keep your socks dry.
Umbrellas are a bad idea. When I was there Friday, the rain came down hard and people were running, not looking, and a woman knocked my glasses off my face and to the ground. Thankfully...not broken. - RadioMaverick
526.7 #218 3:44PM
Get there when they open so they don't close early on you. - Djoasis
94.1 #3094 4:28PM
Invest in a good pair of rainboots if you plan to frequent the parks in the rain. I initially bought some chapue boots at Marshall's and they really hurt my feet after a couple of hours. I bought some Chooka rainboots for 50 bucks on dsw.com and they are so comfy. Worth every penny!!!! - MozGirl
149.1 #2299 7:33PM
Don't wear UGGS!!!! They will get soaked!!!! - MozGirl
149.1 #2299 7:34PM
I scotchguarded my uggs but I've never worn them to DL - BLG
1049.5 #81 7:39PM
I scotch guarded mine too but only once. For a couple years they stayed dry but now the water gets in. LOL - LaneSparrow316 846.9 #107 9:43AM
If you're pusing a stroller, bring gloves, otherwise your hands freeze! Rainboots and a hat with a bill is a must! Keeps the rain out of your eyes. Come with a positive attitude and you'll have a blast! Walk on rides all day, sometimes even twice without getting off! I rainy days @ DL! - Duchess_SMK
3250.2 #11 10:21PM
*pushing a stroller (lol) sorry should have proof read my post!) - Duchess_SMK
3250.2 #11 10:22PM
Don't go to the parks expecting to try hard to stay dry. Expect to get soaking wet and you'll have a much better time. Chance are it won't be as bad as you think and you'll have an amazing time. Crowds are low and people in socal hate rain and cold weather. You'll get more accomplished than you ever thought. - Mark and my lady
-0.2 #121509 10:26PM
Don't wear converse! They don't dry very well - Heather
259.6 #910 10:28PM
Heather knows. I bet she wore them there once. I would say wear those ugly water resistant shoes that most people have or get rain boots. Def get something that won't let water in easily. - Mark and my lady
-0.2 #121509 10:29PM
What's sad is I never learn. I wear my converse all the time! But if I know it's definitely gonna rain hard I make a point to wear my running shoes lol - Heather
259.6 #910 10:38PM
It's all about embracing the rain and wearing flippy-floppies :) - PinkTink

526.9 #217 7:23AM
If it is gonna rain, I wear my swim suit and the thinnest shirt I can find, as well as sandals... I am usually dry after 1 pirates/soarin/ToT ride and good to go again. I guess it does bear saying though that it takes alot for me to get cold - DisneylandDreamin
361.6 #385 8:08AM
B O O T S - rainboots!!! With rainboots you can go from open til closed without missing a step!! A too, if anyone has the same affinity for keeping an unruly rain-do in check - Eeeeeekamouse
0.1 #71315 8:08AM
If you ride the Matterhorn don't put your hands up, the rain will run down your as and make you cold. I learned this one the hard way. :) - A-goofy
7.5 #7897 8:21AM
Shorts and a tee shirt... It's California, suck it up! You won't melt - Disneygeek
10.6 #6563 8:30AM
I wear golf rain pants with shorts underneath and a golf rain jacket as well. Many golf products are light, breathable, and not too thick. Of course a cap with a bill. Extra pair of socks never hurts either. Boots are great! If it happens to be a cold Southern CA day, then a thicker rain jacket with a good hood and different types of layering. I totally agree with NO cotton sweaters or sweatpants, nice to keep yourself warm, horrible in the rain, lol. Limit items you carry in the park and it's probably one of the only days I would rent a locker to stuff anything extra in. Umbrellas are not practical. And if you have a real nice bulky stroller, leave it at the home/hotel room and possibly rent one. Like previous posts, bring a bag to cover the stroller, but the stroller will probably get a little wet, thus the idea of maybe renting instead. Plus, you need a stroller where you can easily move throughout the wet park. Bringing a small towel to wipe areas down helps occasionally. Lastly, think of it as a cool adventure and enjoy the rain! - Luis
37.5 #4071 9:17AM
This is a wdw rainy day tip. Year round the temps are normally warm, so it will be warm rain. So, grab your swim suit and up the water parks. - Theadtraylor
44.9 #3852 12:51PM
And if you are planning to arrive later in the day call the park or check mousewait for updates on closing times. - Theadtraylor

Zip lock snack bags for iPhone. - Zooter
1361.7 #58 12:59PM
Ziploc bags totally work. It helped a lot yesterday. - Djoasis
94.1 #3094 1:23PM
I agree. Ziploc bags are great and they still allow you to use your iPhone without taking it out. Pretty sweet little tool. I'm surprised no company has made a case based on a ziploc bag. Maybe like a 5pack of them that fit the iPhone snug. Once one gets a little messed up just toss it and use a new one. - Markandmylady
86.7 #3185 1:26PM
Actually, I saw an ad for one that's rated for diving. Pretty cool! - ThatKimberly 334.5 #448 5:46PM

328.8 #476 9:56AM
SNOWBOARD PANTS!! My jeans got kinda soaked today while walking in the rain on the thighs. - DTAPHIL
0.6 #47708 3:26PM

Don't know if it's been said but Target, in their Camping area sell these great waterproof bags that you can really trust your camera or iPhone in. And when we got them to take to the park (during the huge storm we had months ago with smal tornado warnings) they were only around $2!
more durable than a ziplock too!

Rollup your sleeve and write your locker number and secret code on the inside of your arm just below your elbow. Those little slips they give you get destroyed REALLY FAST when they get wet, but the upper part of your arm stays dry (assuming you are wearing long sleeves.) - Nalagirl5
