So today, a good friend of mine got diagnosed with leukemia. She will be undergoing chemotherapy next week. My friend and I are already planning to get her a Minnie Mouse candy apple to cheer her up but I was wondering what else we should get her to keep her spirits up since she loves Disneyland.
So sorry to hear about your friend. - d!sn3yphan

I'm so sorry your friend is going thru this battle. However, you might want to check in with her about what food she is allowed to eat. Often times when someone is undergoing chemotherapy, they are not allowed to eat fresh fruit or vegetables when their immune system is compromised. Otherwise, I love the blanket and hat ideas. Maybe some sort of Disney themed journal for her to record her thoughts. Or a photo album/framed photo. Or Disney socks! Those are great if she will spending time in the hospital. Your friendship and time will be the most important things to her. - Polkadobo

Sorry to hear about your friend. You could get her a fleece to keep her warm while she's in for treatments. Or maybe something very touching like an autograph book but have the characters sign get well soon, if they're allowed to. Not sure since I've never gotten an autograph. Haha - Ht

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Also thanks for the warning about food. She thinks those apples are too cute to eat anyways so she'll most likely give it to her family. That blanket idea sounds like a great idea. I'm pretty crafty myself and I've seen a couple of people around with those blankets you're talking about. Thank you guys for all your suggestions! - maulovesdisney

DL has large red and blue fleece snuggies now...at the emporium and world of Disney. Totally agree about no treats and agree on the autograph book. I'm sure there's some plaid CM's that will help you out with that one. ;-) - KristenK98
