I plan in getting the socal annual pass today and do the installment plan. I have a question. In order to get on the installment plan you need to show a credit/debit card. I already have a free ticket for volunteering. So I wouldn't have to pay the intial fee.
My question is when I upgrade it do they make any charges on my card orl swipe it? Or do they just copy your card number and make the first charge in a month? Thanks. I'm a little tight on money and don't want my checks to bounce if they charge me a fee today or it gets declined because the funds have been used. Next pay day is on the first.
They would swipe and charge the difference between a single day and AP. That is what...$80ish? - CantWait

Would guess that you would pay a percentage and finance the ballance - CantWait

They usually take the first payment out in about a week... Maybe less. At least that's what they did with my pass. It's done by automatic payments from your credit/debit card. - Elphiero

I did it and there is no finance or interest charges. They do take a debit/credit card to charge the monthly payments to automatically. - MelCee

You can use your ticket towards your down payment for your pass and then they will pull your 1st payment within 24-48 hours and your payment will be pulled every month on the day you purchased your pass. - Tinamarie
