Non Disney related question: A few days ago we had a power outage in my neighborhood, after about 40hrs later when power was finally restored, we found that some of our appliances are no longer functioning, our computer was one of them. Now, is there any way that I can retrieve all the info/pics I had saved in my PC? Any info is appreciated. Sorry for the long post. TIA!!
Depends on what you mean by "not working" but probably. If you mean won't power up, then it could be a fuse or the power supply. In any case, almost certainly the data from your hard drive is still retrievable. - PrinceCorey

Check to make sure the outlets are functioning. If they are not, check your circuit breakers. If your breaker is not tripped (half way between on and off), call your electric utility. To confirm that one of your two hot service wires is out, try a 240v appliance (AC, electric clothes dryer are possibles), that will not be functioning either. - Tom

on someof the older systems there is a 220/110 switchon the back of the system, make sure that switch is set correctly. Plug a lamp inthe wall like Prince and Tom said and if it works then plug is good. sometime after big surges the breaker get fried. You may call your utility and see if they come out and check for free I know here is San Diego they will come out and check everything.

Do u have a 2nd PC that u can try and install that hard drive in? I know there's software out there for data recovery if needed. - FlyingManPurse

Thanks you guys for all the info! I had a technician come out and check out everything, so far I lost a TV, microwave, PC and most likely Xbox and Wii. Yeah I have no life now :( - AnnHeartsMickey
