Just curious. My brother has ADHD and waiting in lines are a big problem when ever he goes to DL. Is ADHD a justifiable reason to get one of the passes for disabilities?

It shouldn't be an issue. - tina  1154.7 #70 7:07PM
Does he need a note from his Dr. for proof? - DisneyDiva  25.4 #4721 7:08PM
They will tell you that the guest assistance pass is not a guarantee that you will get on rides any faster. Alot of the times (weekends and holidays) the wheelchair/guest assistance line is a lot longer of a wait than the normal line.. Especially for Space Mountain - CMsMom  445.2 #285 7:11PM
Nope! :) They'll just ask you what his reasons are, how many are in your group and which days you need it for. There are various options for the guest assistance pass. What kind of assistance does he need? The one with the arrow gets him and his party onto the ride as quickly as possible. - tina  1154.7 #70 7:11PM
No, you don't need any kind of proof. Just go to city hall. They will ask you what your concerns are with getting on the rides - CMsMom  445.2 #285 7:12PM
Oh my goodness, thank you so much. He doesn't go too much right now, and I'm thinking that this is the issue. This will definitely help him in the future. Thanks. - DisneyDiva  25.4 #4721 7:14PM
They can't ask you why you need a guest assistance card. But you will want to mention that you can't wait in long lines so you can get the pass that takes you through FP lines and back entrances. - RoyannaF  376.6 #373 7:45PM
Yay! I'd love to see your brother actually ENJOY the park DD! - Duchess_SMK  3550.6 #10 7:49PM
Thanks RoyannaF. And yes SMK, I think this would make a world of difference. - DisneyDiva  25.4 #4721 7:50PM
do you guys have a trip planned? Did he commit yet? - Duchess_SMK  3550.6 #10 7:51PM
No, not yet, but knowing that this is available for him might just make it easier to go. - DisneyDiva  25.4 #4721 7:55PM
::fingers crossed:: for you! - Duchess_SMK  3550.6 #10 7:57PM
It should be OK to get the disability placard. They didn't check anything last time we went, they didn't question us at all. Just continuously told us that only 6 can be accommodated with the pass - StephiePooh  572.6 #198 8:05PM
Also sometimes the disabilities lines are worst than the regular lines. - MrsMinnie  31.9 #4375 9:39PM
its typically the wheelchair lines that are longer esp for rides like POTC and Splash most of the guest assitance passes act just like a fastpass but the ones that dont have FP you go throgh the exit - Dave  8834.8 #2 9:43PM
Legally they can not ask you about your disability. My friend was disabled and when we asked for a special helper pass we would just ask for the pass. They can't ask what the disability is. That is illegal. So go for it - LittleLady23  5.7 #9760 10:07PM
I wish they could ask about the dogs...I see so many dogs in the park that dont look like any type of service dog and have even seen them posing the dogs with characters and dressed up the dogs as well - Dave  8834.8 #2 10:10PM
