Just thinking out loud..
I was thinking about how if you are a Disney lover you definatly have to date or even marry a Disney lover as well. It's hard not being able to share the same love with your partner. Lol so random
If I ever dated someone who thought DL is boring or childish, I'd dump them immediatly. - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 9:37PM
A lot of my friends and their families have AP like me. My hubby and I have frequent meet-ups at DL with our friends. People must hate us when we roll into line with like 12 people, lol. - MimiMouse
1015.6 #87 9:51PM
So true! It was funny after I met my bf we were talking on the phone a few days later when he was telling me about his disney fascination and I looked down - I was wearing a Disney shirt and drinking out of a Minnie Mouse coffee mug!! - Dreamseeker

456.8 #267 10:57PM
I couldn't be with someone that didn't love Disneyland or anything Disney. I'm lucky my boyfriend loves it too he even watches all the princess movies with me lol and we go to DL all the time it's great being able to share that with him... Oh and 0wnage needs to ask out heather and their 1st date should be at DL! - Little Mermaid
-0.2 #122043 11:01PM
That is very great. These stories are great
and i agree about heather and 0wnage ... - Natalie
13.5 #5923 11:05PM
Actually I'm a born and raised DL fanatic My parents and grandparents used to take me multiple times a year when I was growing up and my husband grew up only visiting one time his whole life when he was five! he's only kinda into DL although in the 9 Years we have been together he has more than made up for lost time and visits. He isn't that into DL but invests in the APs for our family and always listens to all my chattering about Disney. He says he's happiest watching us be happy there! - DisneylandChick11
33.3 #4234 11:18PM

I'm married to a none Disney lover! I mean he like the park to a point only goes a few times a year , where I go at least once a week! It's not so bad! It's a place that is special to me, my son, and my mom! I don't need my hubby to have a good time at the park! - MommyElephant
0.3 #55349 12:29AM
@mommyelephant, you are my hero! Going to the park everyday is something I will never be able to do so I can't get my head around it! It's so foreign to me. I would love to be able to do that! I know there is a lot of you AP people who do that and all I can say is be very thankful you have that gift! - Pxydst
10.5 #192 5:06AM
You just gotta convert 'em! My husband knew from our first date that I was a Disney Fan, and he didn't share my love for Disney. But, he went with me anyway, and then two years later he proposed at Dianeyland, we got married at Disneyland, and we are APs! Ahhhh... Happy endings! - DisneyFan
39.3 #4008 6:37AM
Good morning everyone. I just read this thread. No pressure, but I think it would be cute if you guys meet up on Sunday. Who knows, u might miss out on making a great friend if you don't. Anyway, enjoy the day! - MingyMouse
35.5 #4149 6:48AM
This is my exact problem! My boyfriend of 11 months HATES disneyland and refuses to ever go. And if I ever bring it up he just loves to go on and on about what a waste of time it is. Which triggers a huge argument and it's awful. I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes how hard it is/would be to go through this - Briana32
0.8 #45091 6:57AM
First of all Heather and ownage beef to meet in person and of course keep us posted. Here's my story Went to Disneyland first time when I was nine with a family friend. Went when I was older teenager with 2 sisters and mom. At that time I would ride anything. Early twenties took my friens's daughter for her first time. When I got married and started a family wanted to bring the boys there. As a family we really caught the bug when we went in 2001 (not crowded because of 9/11) Youngest was born Sept. 5 and we were in Disneyland in mid October. People kept asking how old is that baby? From 2001 we have been going yearly or close to that. My love for Disney is stronger now due to enjoying it thru the eyes of my children 18,13,8 and my husband likes it too but not as much as me. Little one will watch you tube videos and pull ot map and pins. My kids love Disneyland because I love Disneyland. My opinion is the more you go the more you want to go. I feel bad when I hear kids say I have never been to Disneyland O brought back maps from Our Nov trip and showed them to my first graders. They were so excited to read them. Made a map lesson of course. - Teresa

Awww Ownage... You missed us all (or maybe just one in particular) didn't you? - Dreamseeker
526.9 #219 7:31AM

Oh my! That's a dream honeymoon. I've never been to WDW! @riahh me too! :) - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 8:07AM
I'm married to a Disney fan and proudly raising two more Disney fans! It's so much fun to be a Disney family. And I've thought for quite a while that my 16 yr old son had better find a girl who loves Disney ( and Christmas) as much as he does! - Momvl
24.2 #4724 8:12AM
I have no doubt you will find her!! I just want my Disney dude to wake up - you all kept him up too late last night!! - Dreamseeker

259.6 #913 8:57AM
I've always loved everything Disney! My husband and I had only been to DL together once before my daughter was born. After she turned three during the bithday promotion I decided to sign us up. We went as a family and my hubby was hooked! I caught him reading stuff about Walt, checking out the disney store online and for Christmas he bouught us all our 1st deluxe AP's and took us to DL the day after Christmas! I - Duchess_SMK

-0.2 #121559 9:28AM
Jess, you're completely right lol...that's a great quality in someone lol - Heather
259.6 #913 9:45AM
Same here! Someone who can tolerate running around is A+! Also you can never be full at Disneyland, so the partner would have to have an appetite always! - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 10:09AM
Haha definitely for all the churros, popcorn, ice cream, the bakery, the yummy restaraunts lol. And I like staying long so I don't want someone who would want to leave after a couple hours every time - Heather
259.6 #913 10:12AM
Same!! I can't stand leaving early! - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 10:17AM

Me too! The most exciting. - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 10:20AM
Yup yup! And splash mountain is fun at night too...but it does get cold lol. I used to do grizzly river rapids at night but big mistake so I do it during the day lol - Heather
259.6 #913 10:24AM

Hmmmm... By the looks of things, Heather and Ownage may not need much more encouragement!
. I'm looking forward to hearing that you two connected over pizza and churros! Maybe we could start rating the Pizza Port as the most romantic DL restaurant? - DisneyFan
39.3 #4008 11:47AM
I do the silliest things on Space Mountain. I like waving to the control center people before they dispatch the train. It's even more fun when they wave back. - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 11:48AM
Haha I thought I was the only one who did that. And I pose in the pictures lol. - Heather
259.6 #913 11:50AM
@0wnage I do the same thing and have since I was in high school! So, I guess that's "since I was your age", ha! Sometimes they'll even make funny faces back! - JenSprad
327.9 #486 11:52AM
Ok, I have a brilliant idea inspired by this thread : a Disney match-making service!! DL is the perfect place for a blind-date! It's safe, public, and "free" if you're an AP. You're bound to have things in common and lots to talk about, and plenty of things to do that don't involve making awkward conversation (ie rollercoasters, shows, fireworks!). My husband won't let me quit my job and persue this as my career... So what do you all think?? - PinkTink
23.1 #4804 12:10PM
Fantastic idea pinktink!! I think we are off to a great start with these two Disney crazed kids!! - Dreamseeker
526.9 #219 12:14PM

259.6 #913 12:20PM
I think you would establish a multi billion dollar company. - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 12:24PM
I am a little late with commenting on this, but, I'm still gonna! =) When I first started dating my girlfriend about 3 years ago, she wasn't really that into the whole Disney thing. Then one day I confessed to being a Disney-o-phile, and said we should spend a day at the parks. I already had a pass, but she didn't. Well, not long after that day, she bought an AP; guess the "magic" got to her, huh? Now, almost 3 years later, our kitchen is completely remodeled in Disney decor, and she actually suggests us going more often than I do! I think back to when she first said of Disneyland: "Yeah, it's fun. But I think you are way more into it than I am." It's amazing what a few trips to the parks, with the right person of course, will do to someone's outlook on Disneyland. It really is a magical place! - Pumpkin King
-0.2 #121206 1:02PM
I think that's a very magical experience. I just feel Disneyland is a big part of my life, and I want to marry someone who can accept that and we can both make Disney a huge part in our lives. - 0wnage
154.8 #2230 1:15PM
Ok so I'm late on this too but My first date with my boyfriend was at Disneyland and now we go all the time...I wouldn't say he is as big a fan of the happiest place on earth as I am but he enjoys going and walking around with me. We always have fun there and I'm pretty sure he likes how happy I am when I'm there and that makes him want to go. - danie_loves_nick
147.3 #2322 1:41PM
pumpkinking - I'd like to see some pics of the remodel. That is a cool idea. We are thinking about doing our dining room in disneyana. - ToneLoc
456.8 #267 1:56PM
ToneLoc: Great name, by the way! I will try and upload some pics of the Disney themed kitchen to MouseWait when I get a chance. Have fun decorating your dining room in Disney fashion! There are some great plates and glasses and whatnot in the world of Disney store in DD. That's where we got most of our decorations for the kitchen. - Pumpkin King

Haha, my boyfriend thought Disney was boring up until he went with me. Apparently the only rides e knew about were the kiddy rides because he would only go when his cousins came from out of town. Boy was he surprised when I took him on Indy and space mountain! And he used to get there at noon and leave at 4. D: - JessNULL2
-0.2 #121546 6:52PM
So I've been wanting to comment on here too but there were so many replies already and I just didn't have time to read them all. Anyway, my girlfriend and I don't have a cool met at dl story but we go all the time and I would starve before I ever stopped being AP.
Hope 0wnage and heather hit it off. That would def be love story of the year! - Mark and my lady

I've always thought it would be cool if I met a girl that was into Disney as much as me and had the same Christian beliefs as I do?sigh a dreamy sigh!!! - WaltSentMe

I'm very lucky myself. My wife and I are both very into the Disney company and it's history. Members of DVC, AP's at DL and WDW, NFFC Chapter in the Park, OUAC, WDAC, WDCC, and proudly part of Walts train history with the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society (carolwood.org) All of that and we own a plastics company (popplastics.com) that allows us the time to do all that. 8):-)
Blessed indeed. I was sure to ease my wife into my Disney addiction before we married, which wasn't hard because she LOVES it. In fact, our 1st couple weeks dating, she pulled out a box of 70's photos of her at DL and ticket books with E Tickets attached!! Are you kidding me!? Ha!
I proposed to her in front of the DL Wishing Well and we've been married for 15 years now. :-) - imtigger2

@imtigger2 - what a great story. And that Carolwood thing is amazing. I had no idea. Hope I get to see it someday. Thanks for teaching me something new! - BLG

I like this thread! And I think that the Disney-lover in my husband is one of my favorite things about him :) he's a pretty serious and quiet person, but at Disneyland, he was like a kid! And he gets so excited for Disney movies and stuff :) - TandAlly

My hubby was not a Disney lover at all but humored me until we had kids. Now he sees the smiles on their faces and melts, it makes him love all things Disney! - akpoppins

My hubby liked it but my love for dl has him excited every time we go. We have premium passes cause we never know when we will go and don't want to be blocked. - mad4themouse

I converted my Boyfriend in to a Disney lover. He used to think once a year was too much but now he has an AP, pin trades, and buys me Dooney Disney purses.  - MXPrincess399
