In Oct, 2006, Disneyland promoted the Year of a Million Dreams. This went on through Dec 2007. What was the best thing you got?

They gave me and and my other half pin trading lanyards. That's how we got started. Still have them. My little sister got Fastpasses one day for the whole family. That was awesome too! - PrettyPixie

My kids got the ears and fastpasses... all my husband and I got were the lanyards and pins...3Xs!!!:) You are right BCC, those were the good old days! It was just exciting knowing that someone was getting some amazing things every day from Disney...and it could be you!! - CAdreamer

I got a pass to stay in the park after it closed. They had this big kick off party with characters then you had a little over an hour to ride all the rides. It was awesome, the park was so empty - Pixarprincess

My daughters got a private meet & greet with Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora, complete with a photographer. We got about 10 minutes with them behind the stage at the Princess Fantasy Fair. It was magical. Same trip, my sister got the Magic Hour, so we got to tag along, staying an hour after the park closed and had the park almost to ourselves. - Melody

It was cute seeing the princesses in a relaxed atmosphere like that. They were actually kind of funny, gossiping about other characters, and saying things like Belle had too much dizzy tea at Alice's tea party and got silly on the tea cups ride. Of course, my husband loved every minute of it. - Melody

We were in the parks a ton and never got anything. My sis was there a lot too and nothing for here either. Guess we didn't fit the type. They actually got instructions on what to look for like this kind of family or group and also they chose it sometimes by the place in line or location. - Sassie_Cass

Sassie, I wondered if they did that! I wanted that Dream Suite so bad, that I told our family that whenever we saw the Dream Squad, we were to link arms and skip through the park like the families in the Disney commercials do and maybe we'll get picked! - Melody

My husband's friends have APs, and they had it down to a science. They knew how to spot the Dream Squad, where to stand and when, and sure enough, they got those Magic Fast Passes about 10 times! - Melody

On our last day at DL In 2007, we were given a free day at the kennel club for both our dogs ($30 value), free sodas, and the lanyard/pin sets. In 2008, at WDW, we got ears and dream fastpasses on the same day in two different spots at DHS. - DizDragonfly

It actually went into 2008 because I went in January 2008 and we got two sets of Dream Fastpasses within an hour of each other. Once while entering Turtle Talk with Crush and then again when we were in line for Tower of Terror. Just before that my relatives that were meeting up with us received special medallions from the Dream Squad around the wishing well. - MinnieBuccs

We got some sort of Magic Fast Passes, but they were only good for the one day. The park was so slow that the Fast Pass lines weren't being used...but the thought was nice.:/ - Ericksenator

That year, we went with my family of five and my sister's family of five. All we talked about was getting that Dream Squad. Well, we had split up for a few hours one day, and when we met up, I'll never forget how my sister was SCREAMING, "We got Dream Squadded!" and she was being so dramatic and crazy I really thought she got the suite. She was FREAKING out. Turns out she got that magic extra hour after close, which was cool.The boys and big kids all did the fun, scary rides and she and I took the little ones on Casey Jr. and Storybook Canal. Over and over. For that whole hour. It was no dream suite, but it was cool. - Melody

We got the Mickey ears 2 times and fastpasses. Also all of the tinkerbell pins and once a castmember went backstage to grab a pin we wanted then just gave it to us. A freind won a tour of the dream suite and we got to tag along that was my fav next best thing to winning the stay. - Jamesc
