Good morning! This sad day in Disney history, Sep 11th, 2001. Following the morning terrorist attacks on The Pentagon, New York City's World Trade Center & in the air over Pennsylvania, WDW & DL, close w/out incident. All the resort hotels remain open & provide accommodations to guests who are unable to leave. Phone charges are suspended so that guests can reach family. Food & beverage stations remain open @ no charge for guests who are on property. AMC Theaters in DTD show free Disney films for stranded Resort guests. The closures marks only the 2nd time DL has locked it's gates in its 56-year history due to a national tragedy. The 1st time was after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in November 1963.)
