Mw fam i believe next year im gonna have the opportunity to finally visit disney world & im so excited! I was wondering if any of you have any tips for disney world and know when is the best time to go? Like when there isnt any hurricanes or too hot or too cold or too crowded lol any info on going over there is much appreciated thanks! :)) (pic is from google)

I went the end of August and there was a lightning storm one night and another day it rained in the heat. It's weird non California weather - philliprocks  1319.2 #132 10:45PM
Ohh crazy! So if i go i can expect weird weather definetly lol - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 10:53PM
I went a few years ago in September and it was muggy! I also noticed the people weren't as friendly as Disneyland and DCA crowds. But I'm going again in September so stay tuned!! - dougdougdoug  5.0 #18703 10:48PM
Oh no ! :( let me know how it goes when you go again!  - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 10:53PM
It's the foreigners that aren't as friendly or rude. But most everyone I talked to was super nice. They are all there for the same reason and all on vacation! Make sure to wear a first visit pin too. Great conversation starter - wickedale  429.6 #510 11:55PM
Weather wise, this time of year (late Nov-Jan) are the best to go. But crowd wise, it will be busy because of the holiday season. - BaseballMickey_CM  7602.9 #11 10:54PM
Darn i dont wanna deal with crowds :/ lol but i dont wanna go in crappy weather either im confused! Haha - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 11:02PM
My advice is rent a car!  There is a bus system to transport guests to and from the various parks and hotels but it is very time consuming.  You will have more time to enjoy the parks if you drive yourself. - MrsFletch  234.4 #1552 10:55PM
Sounds good!! Thank you! We were debating on renting a car so this is some good info:) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 11:00PM
I've been there several times.  Best weather overall was in March/April.  Definitely stay on property, and I respectively disagree with the last poster.  I say take Disney's transportation all the way (the shuttle from the airport is awesome).  WDW is SO big and you'll spend SO much time getting lost and parking and walking to entrances, etc.  I love the transportation system.  Whether you take the busses (takes about a day to get used to it), boats or monorail, you're dropped off right in front and never worry about parking (and I've never waited more than 15 min for a bus, and I've stayed at the moderate, and high end properties).  And don't forget the simple stuff like riding bikes around the Wilderness campground, and DO visit at least one of the water parks...they're awesome!   - msdizmaui  716.8 #270 11:54PM
This is very helpful thank you! :)) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 11:58PM
Well, let me clarify based upon my experience.  We fully intended on just using the WDW transportation for all of our WDW park visits.  We had rented a car because we had planned on visiting Universal Studios while there.  On our first day, we had to wait more than 40 minutes for a bus to show up.  Later when we were headed back to our hotel, we had to wait while the bus dropped by several hotels before arriving at ours.  Since we only had 4 days and did a bit of park-hopping, we ended up just using the rental car to get to each of the parks and had a much more satisfying experience.  HOWEVER, if you plan to just visit one park per day, the WDW transportation is probably just fine.  Also, there is something to be said for sitting back and relaxing while someone else does the driving.  We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and the boat to the Magic Kingdom was awesome. - MrsFletch  234.4 #1552 8:42AM
We went this year at the end of January and it was perfect. No crowds, perfect weather, good deals on hotel and airfare. I also visited Miami in July and was miserable in the heat and humidity. I learned I can only visit Florida in the winter months.  - nerdgirl  86.0 #3823 12:41AM
This is good info! I hate hot weather lol so now i kinda have a better idea of when to go, thanks! :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 12:46AM
I would agree with mid November after the light show starts.  We went a couple years ago around the 8th and stayed 10 days.  There were hardly any lines.  Weather was mild definitely not hot.  Hope you have a magical time!  It is definitely a different experience with so many different parks spread out :) - missyandpaul  285.8 #1005 12:51AM
Sounds good! Thank you!' :)) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 1:07AM
All I can say is plan 160+ days out. - nicealex77  726.1 #267 1:12AM
Will do! Thanks! :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 1:16AM
I've been there 3 times (March 2013, June 2010 and May/June 2009).   I've always stayed on property and have never needed to rent a car.   You will not need one there unless you want to visit other non-Disney attractions.  Disney world has the best transportation system.  If you stay on property,  they have a bus that picks you up from the airport and drops you off to your hotel.   You will have so much fun!   By the way,  I used Disboards a ton to help me with planning.   Check them out.  I loved the weather in March because it isn't too hot and there weren't any crazy thunderstorms.   Have fun!  - SFshopgirl420  21.8 #7028 4:45AM
Cool this helped a lot thank you! :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:57PM
We went in sept 12. Great deals and very low crowds but very warm and muggy. Just went mid November, much better weather and still able to get free dining plan...which in our opinion is awesome! It's so nice to go on vacation knowing all the food is paid for and eat like prince and princesses! Planning is key, and dining reservations a must. Take your time and just take it all in.  - MicheyMouse  359.3 #645 7:28AM
Oohh awesome!! Thank you!! :)) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:54PM
We have gone twice, many, years ago in April and August. April was busier. August had thunderstorms in the evening. We used the Disney bus system. It was great. No meal plan (that wasn't an option). We made reservation at the different hotels and had excellent food. - Sugarbuzz  242.6 #1449 8:15AM
Thank you for your input :)) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:54PM
I've only been once-2nd week in Nov... it was nice and decorated for Christmas already. Comfortable temperatures. It reminded me if Hawaii where you would have random rain fir a few minutes and then done. - HalfCaff  518.2 #402 8:55AM
Ohh i see thank you, i hope it doesnt rain when i go! Lol - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:53PM
My family went January 7th-14th a couple of years ago. Weather was perfect. Wore shorts almost everyday and not to muggy. Had one day where we had to wear jeans and sweatshirts. The best part was no crowds! It was an awesome trip! - MyHeartbelongstoBeast  301.3 #904 12:25PM
This is perfect thank u!! Im thinking january is the best to go :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:49PM
We went the beginning of April for my sons spring break. The weather was perfect and it wasn't too crowded. Stayed at the new Art of Animation hotel. So much fun. We can't wait to go back!  - BooksandBelle  517.0 #405 3:01PM
Awh how awesome!Thank you :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 3:15PM
I went in July this year, I didn't think it was too crowded. It rained for 1 hr every day. so a poncho did the trick. we were in shorts the entire time. Pack a poncho just incase. Look into the meal plan. It came in very handy and offered lots of diffent places to eat. - cobi13  10.9 #10417 3:41PM
1 hr everyday of rain isnt bad at all :) this is helpful thank u :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 6:08PM
Summer is definitely muggy. It is a little more crowded but the good thing about WDW is it's more spread out. We went in May one time for our honeymoon and the weather was not bad. They also do their flower and garden show there and that's amazing to see. I would definitely do the Disney transportation if you are only doing WDW. The dining plan was also nice to have when we went. We picked the expensive meals and it definitely paid for itself. Plan at least 2 days for Epcot. Hope this helps.  - warchanted  167.3 #2448 5:51PM
This did help! Thank you!! :)) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 6:07PM
Does anyone know if it would be bad to go in march? :o - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 11:26PM
The reason for the non-friendly people is becasue people from all over the world come to visit WDW. DLR is 70% local, 30% visiting. WDW is the opposite. I would go the second week in Nov, at the end of food and wine. When they start the Osborne lights... They also start to add other decorations as well around the parks. Check out this website. It's for first time visitors who may never go back...  http://yourfirstvisit.netAlso, check out and subscribe to touringplans.com Touring WDW is not like DL and DCA at all. Also, you don't have to rent a car. The transportation there is fine. It just depends on where you stay! - wickedale  429.6 #510 11:53PM
Good info. Thank you!! :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 11:58PM
I'm going Jan 5-11. We went last year from 12-17 and it was great. They had marathon one of the weekends that added a LITTLE crowds. But most rides were close to walk on. They say that's one of the best times. Had pretty good weather too. - DLKenCA  2630.2 #50 7:05AM
yay! We planned our trip for this year on the 12th-18th of January hoping for low crowds so I am happy to hear you say that! - lohofosho  785.0 #235 10:54AM
This is good! Thank you !:) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:52PM
January through March is a great time to be down there just keep an eye out for the national cheerleading competition that goes on every February as a park is exceptionally crowded. However the weather is really nice you do not have the risk of the thunderstorms or hurricanes and best of all the dreadful Florida humidity is not there this time of year.  Most importantly plan at least seven days if you can Disney World is a Enourmous !!!! - polo33  65.7 #4275 7:19AM
Perfect! Thank you!! :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:56PM
I have been planning my first WDW trip as an adult since last November. I am going January 12th - 18th as it was a low crowd time and a low cost time for the hotels. I used a lot of information from this site to plan my trip, including what week to go. Check it out: http://yourfirstvisit.net/disney-crowd-calendar/ - lohofosho  785.0 #235 10:56AM
Awesome! Thank you! :) - MouskaAngg94  193.1 #2076 2:49PM
